Every ****er comments on our big budget. Michael Brown mentioned it on sky for the Portsmouth game. Who did we pay big money for other than Grigg and even the initial outlay there is questionable. Sutton can piss off. He's a miserable knob anyway.

Sutton was such a massive over-achiever as a player he's allowed to make these comments.

So thinks Chris Sutton; everyone else, not so much.

Sutton was ****e as a player and worse as a pundit.

Couple good years in a Norwich side that made chances galore but could then only score in Scotland without shearer.

He’s a ****, not entirely sure what his issue is with us other than we have vocal fans that will rise to it and make him seem relevant.

    ****ing helmet.

On the budget though, it’s not what we spend, it’s wages and academy. Our budget is 8-10 times bigger than the league average, can’t fault him on that point.

Does anyone know where his beef with us comes from? It's weird having some random pundit repeatedly being a twat about a club they have no apparent connection to.

No idea why he has it in for us - but he does seem to do it whenever he has the opportunity.

    Maybe some insight here: <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Seems like it must be something like that, Shearer is a saint in comparison.

Celtic cheerleader, nothing more. What the **** is he doing commenting on Sunderland? Has he even ever played for a North East side?

I must be reading it differently to everybody else. He's hardly ripping into us when he calls us a massive club, with passionate support and a huge fanbase who could potentially be the biggest underachievers of all time. The club has been full of misery since I was a boy. He's not really wrong there.

It's certainly questionable about whether JR failed or not last season. There's plenty of supporters who believe he should have bounced us back up at the first attempt.

Try not to be so touchy guys.

He is technically right about most of it of it but the thing is I don't think he's not doing it to be constructive in the way you say.

I think he's doing it to be controversial and to make people react exactly as some (most) have as he has track record of it after all.

This. Him and Le Pissier seem to have it in for us, for some reason. Everyone else, even She-Ra, are more even-handed...

Have never noticed Le Tiss being overly harsh or critical tbh.

We do deserve a lot of what gets said mind, we have been a bomb scare for a long time.

Sutton is just doing it for the attention

I don't normally resort to using foul language, but in his case I'll make an exception....

The man is a **** stain!!

He is right though, why have none of the 'big 3' in the north east not been invested in?
