Hardly, re.Chris Powell. It has been on the cards for weeks. It was well known that Powell and owner Roland Dulhatelet did Not get on. Charlton have already got a replacement in place for tomorrow night. I for one hope that Charlton go down now. They deserve to. imo.
Apparently the owner who also owns Standard Liege wants Charlton as a sort of 'feeder' club -SL ship out their promising youngsters on loan to give them experience and then presumably either sell them on or take them back if they make the grade. Not surprised that Powell was pissed off to be honest.
Correct. The owner sold 2 of Powell's better players to Bournmouth and Brighton in January. Kergormanent and Stephenson from memory. Gave Powell players he did not want aas you said. Funny how non of them played @ Sheffield Utd on sunday either. I wonder if old Flat Top will hire Powell at the Foxes now ?
