Burnley midfielder Chris McCann has penned a new two-year deal at the club, ending speculation linking him with a move to Bolton Wanderers. The new contract ties him to the Clarets until June 2013. The 23-year-old has had the last two seasons blighted be a knee injury. But he made an impressive return to the side in April, bagging a goal against Derby. McCann told the club website: "The club has been good to me since I've been here. "They've stuck by me and shown how highly they regard me. "It was nice to get back and play four games at the end of last season and to get the goal was the icing on the cake. "I'm looking forward to working hard now and cracking on with the season." McCann - who has scored 21 goals in 175 appearances for Burnley - had been linked with a move to the Premier League with Lancashire rivals Bolton.
