appears that there are 5 clubs interested in signing him, all in the championship. looks like he could be on his way, shame in a way but he never realised his early potential.

Hope we get a decent sell-on clause in the deal as I think if he gets his head down, shifts a few pounds and get his sharpness back he could still make it <ok>

Lol how many threads have there been on Chris Martin! It's like I said in my thread the other day, he's an enigma, a great raw bit of potential tht no-one is sure what to do with

It's a conundrum, but I think I'd like to see him at least get a shot, it's such a hard one to call though. I hope Hughton has a good hard look at what he can do and decides from there.

Like I've said before if Chris was a crystal palace player we'd probably be looking ato him as a possible attacking option.

    Time will tell.

Isn't Bendtner another? You think "This boy could be SO good if only ........." but nobody can identify what that only is! Is it that they both seem to think they are already much better than in fact they are?

If Lambert & Co couldn't get him to buckle down it is difficult to imagine who will manage it. I would fear for him if he goes to an area where there are great temptations. If he can get into trouble in Beccles and Wymondham I hate to think what problems he would have in a big City. I have nothing against the lad but I have my doubts about his so called hidden talent and, because of his attitude, I think the club are better off without him. Also leaves room for another striker to come in if CH feels the need for one.

My old man was in Norwich the other day and supposedly met Martin's family friends. They don't like football but he was telling my Dad how he is an Arsenal fan and doesn't actually like Norwich. He also explained why he was banned from the pubs in Beccles and it was because Spillane's sisters kicked off.

Don't get my wrong though I like him, I think he has potential and at times his finishing and build up play is brilliant and I've always backed him up because he is a local lad and we should be proud of him because he is a youth product , but that did make my think he is a bit of a c*ck

Who he supports isn't an issue, holt supports Carlisle lol.

What could be different is he's a little older, got a kid now. Not a wild child. His family is a little rough and that's rubbed off I imagine but Chris is a quality player and it just annoys me we can't unlock it.

.....he's not in the same league as an a55hole as bendtner. a couple of years ago he said that wenger should play him in every game and should be building the arsenal team around him as he was among the best players in the world. if he was half as good as he thinks he is he would be five times as good as he really is.

I was just saying what was said Beefy. Wes and Fox both support United, Holt supports Carlisle, Ruddy supports Cambridge, not saying that's the problem.
It's the fact he doesn't like Norwich at all I thought was a bit kn0bby.

I agree, I've always backed him and think he can easily be a Prem player.

Ruddy supoprts Cambridge does he? I never knew that!

I wonder who the last player to wear the shirt who actually grew up as a Norwich fan is? My money is probably on Chris Sutton <ok>

He said in an interview a while back his mum used to take him to Norwich games as a kid. I dunno, don't think he Hates us but certainly has (had?) an attitude. But he's certainly not alone in the footballer/bad attitude department

He's always given good effort on the pitch

I think he is anyway, that's the feeling I get on Twitter, he mentions them a lot and I think he goes to see them play a few times last season, him and Josh Dawkin were talking about a game.

Yeah maybe Sutton, what about the Jarvis brothers? They were from Diss, but don't know if City fans.

He is fast approaching 24 years of age and in my opinion unless he produces something for someone soon he will end up with his mate Spillane at Dagenham and Redbridge. I accept that he had one good season for us in league 1 scoring 17 goals in 42 league games but when playing for us in the Championship he has scored only 8 league goals in 55 games and no goals in 4 Premiership games. Even when on loan in League 2 with Luton he only scored 11 goals in 40 games. In my opinion he is not worth a place in our squad and should be sold. I felt exactly the same with Cody McDonald and whilst I hope they both prove me wrong I suspect that neither of them are as good as some City supporters think they are.

i think sell him, he's well down the pecking order at ncfc, hasn't done it in the championship and has probably had his time here.
he did ok at palace, but i read their forums when they signed alby, and then weren't too bothered about chris.

Glimpses and quality. Wrong attitude. He has had time to Ship up or ship out. If we don't try and get some money for him, we need to send him to a Championship club with a good manager to watch over him for a season. Someone like Malky or Holloway. I don't think they'd want him though. Would be lovely if he fulfilled his potential

if he does leave, its the correct decision in my eyes. he's not going to play for us in the premier league but he has undoubted quality. i think the middle of the championship table is and always will be his level.

Spot on. I think he could be a regular double figure Championship player in future if he knuckles down, but no more than that.

Definitely sell him while his stock is relatively high. I just don't think he has the pace or first touch for the premiership, though he does have undoubted talent.
