.....and the assist was by Mark Kennedy. Looks like the old Cardiff boys are doing for the Wurzels yet again - early days yet though......:emoticon-0105-wink:

Yeah...and it is easy to raise the issue when he scores I guess :) Just always felt Chops would benefit without Jay being here.

I still can`t understand why he was let go so cheaply, and the timing of it. Milky Bar would have insisted that he stay....guaranteed!
Knew he score today, sad really!

what a mess DJ left behind. He's the reason so many players left or wanted to leave.

Siam - I would have hung on to Chops until Malky was appointed and then let him decide, but what do I know?

What I do know is that Chops will always score goals at this level when given the service on which he thrives, and let's face it, he never really got it after that first season with us and McPhail. Being left on the bench for Bellers to play up front (not saying that was wrong) also didn't help his confidence.

Let's hope that Earnie and/or Miller can provide the goals that Chops would have slotted this season given the chance. Looks like he's started off for Ipswich on the front foot and although not the greatest of admirers of his off-field antics, the best of luck to him.

I agree...I wish him all the best as well...I hope he gets a decent welcome when he plays here this season. On the pitch he always gave his all for us.

Chops is a great player at this level and will of course get goals, especially at the start of the season, to prove a point.
Was slipping off the rails again over the last few months with us, it was time for him to move on, for our sake and his own.
I wish him luck and goodwill, but I can't say I'm sorry to see him gone however well he does this season, it was time for him to go, his influence was too strong down here.
