Well it was in the Sun first (a paper with tits in it), then in the Echo (a rag run by tits) but allegedly Chops is in talks with Ipswich over a £1 million deal to take him to portman road as the malaysians look to cut costs. Its all bloody doom and gloom at the moment, think i'll get pissed. here's a bopping badger
Chopra has been so on and off that I will be pleased if he leaves. Let's get Earnie in on a free as a replacement and I'll be delighted
Concerned can't see that chops is going to be a big loss, to be honest, he's been riding on his reputation and done very little for you boys this season, 10 goals or so is it, and he looks overwieght and unfit to me too, thing is you need to get your wage bill down, and get some young blood in, I'm sure you'll be fine!.....................
totally agree aber and let him take his pissed up gambling mates with him !!!!!! hes had so many chances **** him !!! cash in now !!!be for hes a free !!!!
Keep him, lets see what he's like with a new manager he is a natural goalscorer and replacing him ain't gonna be cheap, personally I think he'll be better without Bothroyd but def needs better service than he got last season.
Its a shame, he used to be idolised by us. But his "effort" and attitude this season has let us down. Time to move on Michael. Thanks for everything, but you've lost your way now.
I know Chopra hasn't been the best this season, but really...do we want him to go, look at our attacking options... Bothroyd is gone Burke is gone Bellamy said he would stay, but come on....really, I'm not holding out for this Chopra gone, leaves up with 4-5-1 with Parkin up top alone, or maybe Nathaniel Jarvis next to him... Bugger
Need to hold all deals til new manager is appointed. Chops has always been a bit of a feast or famine type. Perhaps we need a player who scores in every month of the season - but lets not cut the ground from whoever the new manager will be. Give him some options!
Agree with Snicker...keep him and let a new manager sit down and talk with him...4-5-1 seems to be what we will have to do next season and perhaps Chops will fit into that role.....if he gets fit in the pre-season, both physically and mentally.
Whats that coming over the hill..........it's no one, Chops couldn't make it up the hill because he is over weight, think he needs to focus on getting fit and if he fits into the new managers plans. TBH though I think we've seen the best of him. Good to see some freindly faces on yer.
We definately dont want Chopra, a couple of years ago he was a different player and well worth a shot but now you can keep him. Weve already got a waste of space in Jason Scotland please take him off our hands I hear he really likes you boys.
Aber Don't tar all with the same brush. McNuggs, Darcy, Bellers and Quinny (apart from the final game when absent) did their best but were let down by others. I felt Whitts was great v. Reading until their first went in, heads went down and he got pushed back so became ineffective. As for the rest, no argument and the loaners have all gone anyway.
Keep Chops and get him focused he'll be worth more than the quoted million. Unless a new manager has been identified and has said okay to the sale.
Dont know how anyone can back the likes of Blake and Quinn as along with Chopra they were the ones on the Piss, as for Darcy he is a squad player at best, he Cannot Pass the ball, come on we really do need better than him
pure speculation. chopra is a quality player at this level, he never got going this season, but next year he will be our number 1 striker, personally i think he has it in him to get back to his usual high standard. like bellamy, you also get the feeling with chopra that he enjoys playing for the club and is passionate about getting this team promoted, we needed more personalities like that last season.
Ronny I never saw the list of those on the lash other than I heard 3 were Bothroyd (on coke - the fizzy kind), Chops and JLS. Even if Quinny and Darcy were out, it was certainly not evident from their performance v. Boro. It was down the left we were slaughtered and this was before Darcy came on as sub. Yes, Darcy's passing skills are not great but he is a terrific tackler and defender whose game has improved immensely in the last 18 months. He had well documented problems but his time at Plymouth made him grow up somewhat. Quinny also had problems but he cannot be faulted for his effort and performance since returning to the side.
Got to remember Chop's injury, probably put on weight when he was unable to train, a fit Chops given the right service is going to score, we know that.
I feel for you guys really. With all that attacking force you had over recent years and now they all seem to have let you down. Bothroyd and Burke gone Chops in talks with Ipswich What's going on the Whitts All the best for next season
