Some of what he says does make sense... but then his whole approach to this situation removes any doubts of him being an absolute ball bag so there is no possibility of 'lost in translation' or 'benefit of the doubt.' The guy is a clearly intent on getting as much money as he can and I imagine that will be sitting on our bench for the next 46+ games....

Another Jimmy Bullard I fear and I'd drive him to any club that's interested (or pay the fair for a flight)

I bet he wasn't bleating on about his contract when the kneecappers turned up at training! If i was ME, i would get my lawyers looking at every loophole possible to get his contract terminated.

The fact is KOPR that the club has indulged him too many times and now he is basically going to throw that back in our faces. We should never have bailed him out of his gambling debts in the first place. The only thing we should have given him was his P45! Now we are stuck with a virtually unsellabe player. Nice work if you can get it! <grr>

Take it with a pinch of salt, it's short comments on twitter not a sit down meeting with an offer on the table. His attitude is no good but it doesn't even register on the scale of crimes against Twitter perpetrated by Town players in recent years.

This culture of letting players walk away that started with Ben Thatcher needs stamping out, I'm glad McCarthy is going about it this way.

We basically paid him a year's wages not to train or play for us. that's what I'm talking about. McCarthy is quite rightly saying, you are our player until you're no longer our player, and you'll earn your keep.
