already made some comments on another thread but as this is dedicated to the event rather than a general Chopra thread...

... personally I hope we fine and suspend him. After sticking by him, loaning him £250k, having the whole twitter rant episode then it appears to me that we have had more problems than results with him and I personally wish he was not a Town player.

The interesting thing is that this latest episode happened before we signed him so I wonder if we got him on the cheap because both clubs and the player/ agent himself knew about this. If so it puts the clubs rating even further down in my estimation.

The offical report dates the incident between Nov 2010 and March 2011. We signed him last summer so July/ August 2011 I assume although Im not sure of the offical date, it would have to be after the incidents.

well at least he hasn't fallen back into his habit. i doubt PJ will suspend him, despite him not being the goalscorer he promised us all we do need him and with jewell's neck on the line i dont think it would be a wise decision to suspend him. with that in mind, he'll probably be sacked tomorrow!

Personally I wouldnt care if he had scored 2000 or 2 goals this season. It is bad for the clubs image. If found guilty it could potentially lead to criminal charges and bring even more bad press to the club and its clearly an issue that has followed him around for a long time. One off mistakes I can live with but he appears to have major issues and I cant see that it can bring any good to the team.

Seems that there is always something else around the corner with Chops, If the club didn't know about it then he should get the push, if they knew about and still decide to sign him then they will have to stand by him.

me personally, its seems there is baggage all the time with him that doesn't help the club, so we should get rid.

Also, its a bloody good job we didn't sign Coppinger as well!

Agree he should go. He hasn't been anywhere near as good as we'd hoped and has brought more negative press to our door than positive. In this moment of time we need people who will fight for us not fight to pick up a dropped betting stub.

It is a gamble if you then back the horses based on the bribes you make!

I think they took bets on one horse and then made sure it would not win........Who would believe that horse racing could be anything but above board.

Chopra is just a naughtly boy, he still has cult status with us Cardiff fans, but his gambling problem is legendary in these parts, he would spend all day in various bookies and casino's in the area and to be skint on the wages he is on is criminal in itself. I really do hope he can get himself straight however he could end up in the clink if these latest allegations are proven. Non the less he is a true talent when on song and will always score plenty of goals. The boy needs help and needs it soon or all will be lost including his career.

Not being funny, but how thick is chopra? apparently briding jockeys, yet has huge gambling debts? what was he doing placing the ****ing bet on the wrong horse!

and if you really want a dodgy sport, greyhounds is it! i used part own a greyhound, and its was quite common that a race manager could go all the way through a race card and pick 10/11 winners out of 12 race.
