    It was her last night <laugh> <laugh> I don't want to build her hopes up <laugh>

    Her dad was made redundant yesterday but it all sounded suspicious to me. Apparently he was taken into a meeting and told, then he was taken off the premises by security. Wasn't allowed back to his desk for anything. I think he must have been caught having a chokey **** <ok>

    Nah her uncles the director. I told her I was going to email her uncle and tell her I was riding her. She said if I done that he would make her move to Dublin. Win win situation I think <ok>

    Can't remember what her dad done but I think it was in insurance. I tried to make a joke about his jacket and wallet still being at his desk and it's probably been nicked and she wasn't impressed <laugh>

    That's a pretty standard procedure mate, anyone that high up with confidential information or could do any harm is marched straight out.

    I thought it seemed pretty weird, not getting notice or even allowed to get his things <laugh> I would have had to be dragged out kicking and screaming if I was ever treated like that.

    Anyone who has information that can be passed to a rival company or underhand dealings the press would be interested in are straight out the building & belongings sent in the post.

    Happened at npower, big scam where an ex employee set up his own Energy Broker company - he had friends at npower who would supply him with all the information he needed - current contract end date, price, future price etc & he would use that to attract new clients for his business & get them a deal with npower. He had about 5 of them on bungs to do it& they also got bonus' for getting so many contracts in!!!

    They were straight out the door & all trace of them wiped!!

    **** sake, I didn't know that kind of thing happened. Could imagine it would be pretty stressful.

    Anytime I'm called into a meeting I'm putting my coat on, getting my wallet, keys and manbag and taking them with me <laugh>

    What would they have done if he needed to get his keys or mobile or something? I'd ****ing start throwing fists at security if they tried it with me. The security in my building are mainly old ****s anyway.

    Would this happen to me? I have government security clearance to work on sensitive and top secret projects.

    Sure somebody would hand you over items you needed now such as your keys <laugh>

    We had fraud squad everywhere for a week at npower interviewing loads of people & going through computers, emails etc. Even spoke to me & asked why there was massive surge in emails between me & this guy in sales......luckily I kep all my emails so there is no comeback & showed it was work related.

    I even mentioned I couldn't believe this particular guy was involved in this sort of thing. Not because he was a good bloke but because he was such a lazy **** hence the 50 emails from me telling him to do the ****ing contracts <laugh>

    We've had senior managers marched out too in the past. **** was in charge of outsourcing contracts gave some work to this company we'd never heard of, few weeks later he was off & some post arrived, it was quite large & looked important so somebody opened it........it was photos of the manager at some Grand prix along with a note saying "As promised here's the photo's from the grand prix, hope you had a good time.....Company X"

    <laugh>
