This league is so crazy that there is no way of predicting what will happen next...We wanted at least 4 points, we're going to have to settle for 1. Not good, but not a total disaster, here are some positives for you:
Harper:
Let in 2 goals granted, but I thought he had a great game. Commanded his box well, made some incredible saves and his decision making/coming out (in a non Steven Davies way) shows why he is, for now, a better keeper than Time Krul!
Williamson:
We now have a 3rd contender for that striker position (Colo n Harper will not be happy).
Ferguson:
As a few of you have already said, he looked decent. Played some nice balls into the box, made a couple of nice overlapping runs down the left wing. Obvious area for concern is his size and strength. But certainly one for the future. (the Northern Irish connection is always a good'n for me personally as well!)
Gutierrez:
Expect to see a lot more of RIP Barton's Tash, 'cause after consuming another *humotherfuckingmungus* slice of humble pie, the poor lad may well be bed-ridden. He attacked well, he ran at defenders, whipped a few nice enough balls in, had a couple of shots. BUT most importantly, worked like a man possessed! I was so impressed by his work-rate! He never gave up, he never stood back and let someone else do it for him. First he came back on injured, then he ran through the pain barrier to get back and tackle on our own byline, when the majority of the lads were hobbling back into our own half! I doth my mask to you, sir!
It's not all doom and gloom lads. With a bit more luck we'd have gotten at least a point. With a bit more class (we've got it, it's just mostly out injured) we'll be winning these games!
