Better right-back than Perch. Our two best right-backs are out on loan. Chris Ramsey- giving youth a chance.
Said it in the match thread, we fell apart after Hill went off - Ned hasn't a clue when it comes to organising a team - think he would benefit in his overall play if the captains armband was taken off him and he could concentrate on his own game
I watched him after they scored. I was looking to see what his reaction would be. He bent down and adjusted his socks.
At the start of the game the R's were lined up to kick off and they stood and waited whilst the Brentford players were in a final group huddle having last talking to from the captain......us we waited and waited and waited....... There appears to be no togetherness and a lack of leadership on the pitch....... Who remembers the togetherness from the group huddle against Wigan in the play off semi? Now sadly missing........not saying about Barton coming back or anything but there was leadership all over the pitch........now there appears to be nowt....... Has Ned seen the ball go past him yet?..... just wondering......
Said it for the last two years and got slated for it. Agree totally, Barton was our leader on the pitch. Simply put, we failed to replace his leadership qualities.
I slagged Barton on here but only him really ... He was very poor positionally at times and often got caught out I was very cross last night with the ball watching ... That is park football not to see or feel that run I thought for a split second he had done a hamstring It was a dreadful moment and cost us the match 0-0 would of been fine henry was fine ... Even with the massive holes around him Clearing your lines is one thing but when it's a game plan you can't argue if the ball keeps coming back How can the other team score if they haven't got the ball ? OG's don't count
Cyanide or strychnine? Hmm........if the fans are constantly looking backwards, longing for the return of limited, aging, troublemakers then we deserve everything we are served up.
The point made was that Barton provided leadership on the pitch - something that we are sorely missing. The thread is about Onuoha, who is captain, but provides no such leadership. I am not longing for Barton's return, but I do think that we would not be rolling over as we are if he was still our captain.
No problem. DT, as is his wont, brought Henry into the argument and I can't help myself when it comes to our Karl. Not only is he a **** footballer, he's a ****ing Tory.
I mentioned Barton because I openly slagged him off that's all Don't what to get into picking a bad performance each game as if that's the answer Barton left He plays for Burnley now good luck to him and Burnley they are a very disaplined side Chief had to be blamed for that bit of play IMO because it was poor
