It is rather odd. He had 10 minutes a couple months back, one shot over the bar and then gone. Maybe attitude problem or Harry just did not like what he saw in training. What are the odds he will sign for Derby and score 15 goals securing them as Champions?!!!!!!
...or we actually are going to sign some strikers in January........surely even H doesn't believe AJ and Bobby (if he ever walks again) are fit for purpose for the rest of the season? At least lets give Hitchcock a go sometimes......
Bang on. However and whoever, January must provide more strike power that actually strikes and scores.
He was only ever brought in to cover injuries and get us to the Transfer window, not a surprise really.
I think that 'Arry heard Flyer banging on about playing him, didn't like his comments, and decided to get shot of him!
If that is the case, why was he not used in those do or die games when he might have made a difference, even if only for a few minutes at the end? Like Harry did with Hitchcock??
Austin has certainly missed a few chances so far, but the games I've seen the supply to him as generally been rather poor. I think our main issue is lack of goals from midfield rather than a problem up top per se. Yes, we need cover at centre-forward but until the midfielders start scoring and laying on some half-decent chances for Austin we'll be in the same situation we find ourselves in currently.
We could bring Suarez in, but unless we play in a way that creates more decent chances and produces more creativity it won't change anything.
Because it was exactly the case, he was stop gap nothing more nothing less. He was brought in case Austin became injured, this was never a secret why do people think more ? If he had been seen as more than that you would have seen more of him, I think you have answered your own question.
No chances created???...which game do you lot watch last saturday?!. We are crying out for a target man to play alongside Austin.Someone to hold it up and knock it down.
Yes, we played well in the first half last weekend, but generally it's probably fair to say that we're not creating enough chances for the centre-forward; and it's certainly the case that the midfield haven't done their part on the scoring front.
