Have to admit i think him signing a new deal is far more important than offering Macca a new one, pretty sure we can get someone as good as Macca on less wages, but doubt we can get anyone Chester's standard.
Andy King is 10 off his 200th for us. Crazy how time just goes. I remember his first goal for us, a 30 yard thunderbolt.
To have the East stand signing Mcshanes song every tackle and Not a thing for Chester is mental!! He is for me the best centre half we've had since Jobson , better than Turner It's time to show a bit of appreciation for a top player we take for granted.
I've been going to City since the late 70's and Chester's second half performance on Tuesday was the best performance I've ever seen from a City defender, he was pretty much faultless.
I agree - hardly noticed him on Tuesday he was that good - up there with Jobbo and Turner even after such a short time at the Club. If we were to get promoted I reckon he would prosper far more again.. here's hoping.
The only issue with Chester is how much better he looks in a center-back pairing rather than a back 3. He's still a great defensing in the 3-5-2 but in a back 4 he's easily the best defender I've ever seen at City.
the only time I noticed him was when he and Stockdale didn't clear the cross for their goal.was that in the second half?
He didn't miss a tackle on Tuesday night, he was simply faultless. He's probably the best centre half we've had in the last 20 years, of that I have no doubt ( I can't go back any further as I'm only 25). I enjoy watching him but a special mention also to Jack Hobbs; I think the pair of them are going to be legendary players for us.
He's been great for us since he arrived. He'll be a premier league player sometime soon, hopefully with us.
Having read this thread I watched Chester closely today and he was immaculate . His positional play is as good as anyone in this league, he's calm, determined and he can play with it at his feet. Could watch him all day
Chester played well today, but he didn't start quick enough for me; he made a bit of a mistake in the first half but he was recovered well.
