Well done Chezzy. But did not SB say that Chester would not play any Internationals this summer ? But to be in the Wales squad and to play alongside Bale and Ramsey is great news for the lad and the club.
good to see another member of the squad get called up to international level. On a side note, sad to see Bo reitre from international duty. Always thought he was better than Hennessey but I guess Coleman doesnt think so
It's funny looking at the Wales squad seeing names next to clubs, "Millwall, Reading, Tranmere, Real Madrid"
They could have Messi & Ronaldo playing for them & they wouldn't qualify with Coleman in charge. Please feel free to dig this up on the off chance they do.
As they have expanded Euro 2016 i wont need to thanks. In fact we could well have almost all the home nations in the finals of Euro2016.
Brilliant for the lad. He deserves it. If it wasn't for injuries this Season, I think we'd have conceded far less, he has a brilliant partnership with Davies. He'll earn some vital experience playing International's too, for him to bring back to use here at the Circle.
Why is it? What's great about one of our players not getting valuable rest and another chance to injure himself? Do you think Liverpool fans were delighted when they heard Suarez was injured today or were they immediately worried? I'm over the ****ing moon Davies didnt get called up. Why people have whinged about it for the past 6 months is beyond me, it's brilliant for us that he hasnt.
Well firstly, he deserved it, and secondly, i'd feel a sense of pride seeing a Hull City player in an England shirt. Although i do agree with your sentiment, tbf.
Re.Chester. I am talking about from next season more than a meaningless game with Holland in June. Chester will improve even more so once he gets to play for Wales in proper games. So it is good for our club. As for Davies, I am glad that Davies and Hudds are not involved with England. They need rest and a good break and England will be a mess anyway at the back.
On James Chester, Coleman added: “He will come with us and have a look at him. We won’t take any risks with him, so if there is any question of him not being 100% because of his hamstring, he won't be risked.”
Personally I feel a lot of pride seeing our players represent their nations. Having Richard Garcia as the first ever City player to play at the World Cup - for my nation no less - and lead the line against Germany was a huge moment of pride for me. Sure you don't want them getting injuries, but the same mentality could have been taken in the FA Cup and we could have been dumped out by Brighton or Sunderland. You take what you can get. Will also give him a wealth of experience to bring back to the club, playing alongside guys like Bale and Ramsey in the future. I also think having a bunch of Irish lads together will be great going forward as they'll get more time to gel and improve as a unit. If in a hypothetical game we lined up with Brady on a wing, Quinn and Meyler in the middle, Long up front and Macca in defence, it would certainly be interesting!
