Hey guys we're 2.1 up. The last in a series of possession losses by Dikgacoi saw them score a possible offside goal. Terrific equaliser from Joe Ralls after good break by Connolly and Revell knocked in from close range to complete a good half for us.
The best thing about pre-season is the number of goals and different scorers. Bodes well. £5M KWJ and another 5 for Marshall and we' have had a really good build up. Just need to shed some of the unwanted then.
3.2 final. Good win some encouraging signs. Whitts and Dikgacoi could be a good partnership if the latter cuts out errors. Morrison and Connolly solid. Ralls getting better all the time, Pilks class, Mason could be his year and Revell ????
Guys - you have now beaten 2 Premier League teams in pre season! Haven't seen the Bournemouth game but watched the Watford highlights and have to say you looked quite good! I know Slade is not the best loved manager on here but he has been given one hell of a job; slash the wage bill yet still keep CCFC competitive. I know it has been doom and gloom here close season, but I honestly believe there is cause for optimism! You have a pretty decent squad and it seems that team spirit is on the up! Call me an uneducated Swan if you want, but I am predicting a good season for you Bluebirds with the play offs an achievable goal! Just hope that we are still there when you get promoted - the coming season will be our hardest yet! Good luck for the coming campaign boys!
I think we should be aiming for autos with the players with have IF dikgacoi and pilks stay fit. It's a mental league though and there are probably about 16 or more sides who all currently think they have a chance!
Very harsh to single that out and not mention his involvement in the 3rd goal. Lovely pass and move and final pass for the goal. Real quality. I didnt go in the week but im told Malone had a great game. He hasnt convinced me but maybe just maybe he can suprise people next season.
Just saying it like I saw it Hilts. The team worked hard to keep possession but, particularly in the second half, it broke down with Malone. While he was positively involved for our third he threw it away in twice needlessly conceding possession, when under little pressure, in the run up to their second. In addition he drifts out of position too often leaving others to cover. Yes, he can look good going forward but too often there is not an end product. While much was good last night, Dikgacoi was also guilty of losing the ball regularly. Also after Eddie Howe put a bomb under his guys at half time they attacked us down both flanks and Peltier was under a lot of pressure. Their No. 7 Marc Pugh, in particular gave us a lot of trouble. Never the less a very positive night.
All sounds very positive for this season lads, all the best and hope you make a good go of it...............
