Hello and welcome to the all new and improved Match day Hub which is now the official place for Gillingham fans, I decided to update this so that you will know where to go and chat before and during the game. This is here to replace the match day thread and the Starting Line up Prediction, this is where you will now be able to post all your team predictions and score updates. You can now just spend your match day in one place if you are not at the game. This is the thread for the upcoming game, I always post this thread before each game so that you can express your views on the corresponding fixture and can talk between each other during the game, You can post your team predictions before the game, you may include the starting 11 plus the subs which you think will be in the team, no points awarded for your predictions it is just for fun, it allows you to start a healthy debate between each other about the team which we will play or what it should be. If you wish you can post updates freely about the game and chat between yourselves, you are also free to talk about other games bizarre or not. This is open to both Gillingham fans and also the opposition After the match I will allow you all to create a summary on this thread and I will also provide extra details on the game if they are required or if I want to point anything out. You can talk about what was good about the game and what could have been better. During the game I will update the score and the team sheets as soon as they are available, also at the end I will add the table to this thread as it stands. This is here permanently so you will not see the Match day thread or the starting line up prediction threads as this is them combined.
Here on time this time so that you can get your team predictions in, I would personally not want Frampton at left back like some have suggested due to his speed, but I would have him on the bench possibly I am only going to predict the starting 11 at the moment, may do a bit of work through the week to make up a bench. Gazza Evans Essam King Jackman Whelpdale O.Lee Payne Oli Kedwell Miller Not sure who else could play midfield as I don't know why else is back, there is so many out injured and suspended it is an even worse position.

442 Gazza Assuming Joe Carter is still not available for left back, my back four selection would be this... Evans, Essam, King, Frampton/Joe Carter The middle of the field is easy for me, because Oliver Lee albeit a short space of time has not impressed me yet... Whelpdale, Payne, Obita, Jackman (you can swap Obita to wing, if you feel Jackman would be better inside) The more difficult bit is the front two. I'm not sure if Kuffour is fit? Then there is the toss up between Oli or Keds, they are both not my favourites, however, even if Kuffour was fit, I feel we might need a big man up front against Cheltenham, so against my better judgement... Oli Then the player that has earned his place on merit ... Miller but Oli or Keds need to protect him, mind you I reckon Obita does not mind getting stuck in, so maybe a protection job for him If we could actually manage to keep the ball on the ground, I would go for...Kuffour, Miller Keds on the bench with Oliver Lee, Joe Carter, Hawkes and another undecided.
Agree with the back 4. Would play Jackman in central midfield to improve creativity and use Obita's pace on the wing. Would have to go with Kedwell up front with Miller (if Jo still not fit), and possibly use Oli from the bench and hope he can make the same impact as with the Barnet game. Would take a dull 0-0 right now from this one, and move on to Crawley next week...
I am not sure if Carter will make his debut yet as he has only just come back, wonder what he is like as I have not seen him play at all due to injury and that he only joined us about 5 months ago, would like to see how good he is, has anyone else seen him for us or when he was at Charlton. Also I think Kedwell deserves to come back in the team as he was good against Crewe.
Looks like Hessy going with the youngsters. Would be great to see them do well and get on the scoresheet. grumpy - would you like your selection to occupy the Gillingham goal line - whilst the GFC Gems distract the Cheltenham forwards ? I am sure that most of us would take a draw if offered - but the game is not lost until the 90 minutes are done.
It is a shame that hess has played Fish instead of Evans and also that there is no Miller I would have played him instead of Oli.
So so happy, Obita 0-1, that is good, Ollie Lee seems to be playing well, I make that 2 goals in 2 games for Obita as he scored in his last game a week and a half ago.
Great sounds like Paulo has just set up the goal, Obita is quality 0-2, we need him till the end of the season.
Seems like Oli has worked very hard today, shame he has got injured, would rather bring on Miller than Kuffour as Miller is young and works very hard but Kuffour has been very lazy of late.
With how it stands we could replace Crawley in the play offs Tuesday if we win against them, that is funny, Crawley have been up there all season but they have lost so many good players that they are nothing now.
3-0 up against Cheltenham, well you certainly can not deny that is a good result, if not one of the best away results this season. When I first saw the team line up I thought WTF against previous auto promotion contenders. Excellent result.
I said before the game that Cheltenham were over rated and that we should beat them, I believed we could win, but I thought by 1 goal, now what it stands at now.
