Difficult to pinpoint the problems when everything is rubbish. Our squad is too small in itself- a run of injuries will eat us alive. On top of that, since Ajose and Holmez, we have loaded (and I use the word in jest) up with squad players like Crofts, to tie up with the likes of Jackson and Johnson. The result is that creatively we are dead in the water. We emptied last seasons team, but seem to have no money to buy new players. Plus Slade may say we need 2 or 3 more, but on the showing so far we need another 6. Johnson should be kicked out. Jackson should be coaching. And Slade appears to be under pressure judging by the nasty comments in the post match interview. This is much worse than I expected. Katrien stated we would build a squad capable of challenging for promotion. When are we going to begin the building process? 21 days till the window closes.

Don't know if you've heard his post match interview; Russ gets a bit defensive when discussing transfers coming in. To paraphrase he uses, "we've been patient and got them in [...Pierce & Rudd]. Things sometimes put delays in it [...the transfers], but I'm confident that they'll sign soon [...intended targets] despite your pessimism. The last bit I underlined. Did think that was slightly disrespectful from Slade to the journalist, given that it's his job to give an unbalanced, unbiased view of the happenings at the club.
