cheltenham eased any lingering relegation worries with a fine win at lincoln'
    results w a imps 2-0, L h maccs 0-1. La brewers 2-0, d h millers 1-1, L a crewe 8-1

shrews after foolishly dropping 2 valuable points at home to accrington visit cheltenham in the knowledge that winning there and our final game at home to oxon may not be enough for auto promo unless wobblers drop points. they have to win against bury and southend. nothing else matters as the playoffs may be second best.
frankly if town cannot beat teams like cheltenham and oxon they should not be even in the promo race. so come on uncle graham, shuffle the deckchairs and put a bit more firepower up front. fs,coys and breathe on em shrews

We're always better chasing than being chased - only need to be 3rd at 5PM on 7 May. For us to have a chance, we have to take it to the last game - that will be horrendous in Shrewsbury and Wycombe!

Time to recall the epic backs to the wall wins at MK Dons and Bury in the play offs and at Dagenham on the last day 2 years ago.

You've hit the nail squarely on the head with that AJ.

thanks. let us not forget another epic last match of the season where town won away at exeter to keep us in the league. 2 or 3 years later we both went down together

Although I can't see Wycombe winning against Bury, we have to forget all about them & just concentrate on winning ourselves. Otherwise, come 5pm on Saturday we may be looking at the play-offs.

What and give you the chance of a stress-free last day? Seeing as there's no way we can finish 3rd and avoid a fraught 7 May, I hope you're as nervous against Southend as we are against Oxford. Be nice when we can all relax again .....

Southend and Oxford are both trapped in midtable with nothing to play for so if Bury beat Wycombe and we win in Cheltenham we need to win on the last day against a hopefully disinterested side, however let us not forget the mighty Constable!

Another potential banana skin. Expect a scoring draw.

Hmmm, with you holding a one point advantage. Tell you what, we'll draw on Saturday and you lose. Then we'll both have the same points for the last game. That seems fair.

You can't depend on teams having "nothing to play for". For a start there's no pressure so they can have a go - if it doesn't pay off, no-one's bothered but, if it does, we (or Wycombe) are in trouble. Then there's players playing for new contracts. Then there's nerves affecting the teams with everything to play for.

No, not having it - there are no 3 point certainties for us or Wycombe.

a few games ago lincoln and northampton had little to play for now look at them fight for league survival against a resurgent barnet eho if they win their last 2 games could ask awkward questions of all teams below bradford.

surely bradford have been the major flops of the season and with new management may do better next season alongside crawley rotherham wobblers!

Stevenage,Torquay Accy have overacheived although i dont like that word. Anyone with any sense could have seen Bury beinf successful and although Chesterfield are prlbably the surprise/ breakthrough team of the seasin they dont feel like a surprise any more eh??
Horrific for Bantams and Cobblers who both could have had aspirations to a promotion place. Rest, meh!!
