Never got into it, seems like lager louts and gypos in tweed to me. Maybe I’ve missed the point.

It's pretty much the only time I bet on horses now, bar the National.

    Any tips anyone?

I'm going for Definitely Red as an outsider in the Gold Cup, should suit the soft/heavy ground.

    Plus, I'm definitely a red.

Have been a few times, enjoyed the days up there. Don't really follow racing all year round but will have a few bets this week.

The day out is basically just a massive piss up with gambling involved. So yeah the lager louts in tweed thing rings true.

Couldn't imagine anything more boring than drinking Fosters out of plastic cups with a bunch of orange faced sluts with £10 in their purse.

Got a couple of bets on today. Will have a few more during the week but I'm really looking forward to Friday.

Playing golf in the morning with 3 mates then we're all back to the pub to meet some more mates and my 2 lads for an afternoon watching the racing <ok><ok>

Oh and a few pints of guinness!!

I don't think I'd go along again, been 5 times now. It is ****ing packed, think they said about 60,000 people will be there today, and whilst a good laugh if there is a group of you I'd rather just go sit in a pub, watch it and bet on my phone.

Ch'tibello has form of staying on soft/heavy ground and he's 40/1 for the Champions Chase so I've had a couple of quid E/W on that.

I've got a nice treble that I fancy too.

Kalashnikov (w/o Getabird), Saint Calvados (w/o Footpad) and Faugheen (w/o Buveur D'Air). Fiver returns 130 odd.

Sam Spinner wins the Stayers for sure. Currently 7/2 but will be backed in heavily on race day.

Plenty of no lose bets available on the first race I notice.

I’ll pick an outsider on an e/w as I’ve not a clue about the horses, but a free punt and I’m in lol.

I've got Faugheen in the next. Think the fave wins but too short a price.
