Nor Mr Henderson. Despite have numerous leading fancies he hasn’t won the heat since 1992. Although if almost anyone other than Mick Fitzgerald had been aboard Amaretto Rose I’m sure that statistic would be somewhat different. Back to the McCoy boy stat though he would have won the race for McManus in ’08 had he picked the right horse!
Heres a question- if the ill fated Darlan was still alive (RIP) would he be in the mix for this yrs Champion hurdle? and if so what would have been of MTOY?!?!
Heâd be 6/4 at best in my view. Given Darlan's career progression from Aintree to Kempton during â12 he looked like he was set to be a top notcher. So very, very sad what happened. My Tent or Yours would still be in the line-up as it never hurts to go into battle in a âChampion Hurdleâ with more than one string to your bow.
Such a shame- became a real fan of the horse. And I reckon would have gone very close in last years CH. but ill guess it will be one of the questions we will never know of how good he actually could have been!!
Darlan might have been a top top horse if he'd have sorted his jumping out, travelled like a dream, but clouted too many obstacles for me. Awful what happened to him mind, robbed us of a real potential talent
