Do I get the impression the El-Abd is going to be a regular this season because he got roasted by most last year. Could he possibly fit better in to a newer formation or is he getting playing time for other teams to get a look at him? Quite surprised that he did as bad as he did after the rave reviews from The Brighton mob.

Freeman looks a class signing - Lots of good passing moves but breaking down when it gets to JET so frustrating. Flint on for El And. Wilbs for jet! (copied off of OTIB)
It sounded more like Ayling was the weak link, maybe he wants to see him with a more dominant CB like Flint. IMHO we are not sorted at the back, we needed a better main CB and El bad is not the one. We only looked sorted last year when Nyron joined
I think the issue we have is that the budget for the primary CB is used on El Bad, he was meant to be our experienced leader. Unless we can move him on we are stuck. Ido agree Osbourne is a good player, but we know over last 3 seasons, the lack of a top quality prime CB has cost us dear. I am delighted with our summer signings, but do not feel we addressed the single biggest weakness in the team at CB . It was meant to be El bad, maybe he will come good , who knows, but if there is one area I feel we will be discussing in September, it will be the CB position. (Copied)

Good to hear Freeman sound a good signing... Also Wilbo scoring and offering something different to JET another positive. That was what SC wanted. 2 goals for a guy who cannot score.... For a friendly a good result, just the first half defensive wobbles sounding the only issue for the night. (Copied)

Agree freeman is a huge signing at this level, he and Sam are different class and will make the difference in L1. Just need to brick up our goalmouth.... (Copied)
