Great idea. Just out of interest, is there anyone else as super organised as me ? Before August was done I'd bought and paid for tickets, grandstand seats (Thur) and hotel - 23 years and I've finally got the hang of it. If this inapprorpiate/off topic please feel free to delete
Ive got my Gold cup tickets already- only going one day this year- as by then will have a little'n I cant wait for it- Im going the 1st meeting of the season there in 2 weeks!
A little human Ron , but funny you say that I am actually getting a foal end of this month! 5 month old Thoroughbred! Will be like a little project for me for the future!
I know heisen, even in the middle of the summer just gone(or just re-appeared lol) the hotels were gettign full and the price had trebled than if you stayed there the week before
Yea ron- 1st of all- having a little boy due on the 31st january 1st kid cant wait- gonna get him in to riding when hes a little bit older lol although will be too tall prbly to be a jockey! and my little foal- 5 month old thoroughbred - Friend of mine had him, and asked if I wanted him and that was that- As I siad is going to be a little project - hope to end up doing a XC on him etc...
heisenburg - you'll find most are saying they're fully booked but invariably they either haven't set their prices yet or have a bunch of provisional bookings that are valid until January. Apart from the early years when a sleeping bag on a friends floor was more than adequate I've never booked accomodation more than a couple of months before the festival, even when the world was spinning in the right direction and everyone had money there was always late availability, I don't see next year being any different... woolcombe - congrats on both !
Congratulations WF. Make sure you remind us nearer the birth. Re the foal, have you reared a foal before? Don't want to poke my nose in but if you haven't and would appreciate any help at any time just let me know; we've reared 3.
Thanks ron definately will No no dont worry your not! My wifes mum (so my mother in law lol) has reared a foal before, but its always handy to get peoples advice, so any thing is greatly appreciated!
