Their style of play always leaves me feeling negative. Even when I start off supporting them as an English team in Europe I often find myself turning against them because they have a certain something I cant quite put my finger on that makes me dislike them. Doesnt matter which manager they have or how they are set up, theres just something nasty about them that makes me despise them.
Chelsea are not a team who many opposition fans likes but they still know how to win a game and in the world of football that is the main aim of any team. It's not a popularity contest so I don't really think they'll be too bothered. I could go on about their fans and members of their team but you have to concede that Chelsea changed forever once Jose managed them. Although he left them to manage elswhere, he also left them the DNA of a winning mentality. On to the next game. I also expect drogs and the usual scum to trawl our board over the next few days claiming how superior they are etc.
Tbh the ref gave them a loot of leeway tackling wise in the 1st half. A draw would have been the fair result, but ow Drogs and co. will come and troll the board.
Even though both goals were soft, they outplayed us for large parts of the first half. A draw would have been fairer but you can't say Chelsea sat back.
Apart from the fact we beat you how the hell can the style of play that we exhibited today leave you feeling negative? We played fast flowing football for around 80% off the match, closed you down real fast and out played you in the middle with some top-notch link up play. We also took our chances when they presented themselves. If you had done the same then you would've won. Jesus - even the Sky pundits are having a love in about how we played so we must've done something right. You are a good team, you play some great football but today we were better than you. Take it on the chin and move on.
1. Chelski deserved the win. 2. Our first loss of the season. 3. Jenkinson is growing into a beast. 4. Loan Ramsey to Stoke. His brain doesn't compute fast enough. 5. We will finish top 2 this season. Subject to #4
I don't see why you'd have a dig at Chelsea's play, they were by far the better football team today, they did some time wasting, but they didn't play that negative, for an away team, playing at a rival's home, they played a very good game. The ref gave them some light free kicks, but those free kicks had nothing to do with their victory, the freekicks they scored from, where legitimate freekicks for them. We only have ourselves to blame for today's result, we were defensively, and offensively poor, end of story.
Basic translation. Credit to Chelsea. They didn't park the bus after scoring two goals. They played better football than we did at times.
To be honest, I'm not that pissed at Ramsey today, I think our defence is mainly to blame for that shambolic performance, as well as the toothless attack.
interms of the football id say it was rather close the difference was when an Arsenal player was on the ball he had about 2 or 3 Chelsea players around him pressing when Chelsea had the ball there was little to no pressure they would run freely into open field and have time to pick a pass Mikel and Ramires kept Arsenal creative spark Cazorla quiet.
That doesnt matter to some people - I knew that when we lost today, there would be the usual anti-Ramsey comments. He was no worse/better than any others today. We were set up wrongly and for that Arsene has to take the blame. Two very soft goals didnt help either. Chelsea were better than us on the day. However, whilst it made no difference to the end result, I was very disappointed with Theo's contribution and attitude. Not good.
Disagree. Thought the game was pretty level; if anything Arsenal were better. Chelsea played some good stuff though, although I have got no idea why Di Matteo chose to play Oscar as the niggly fouly midfielder.
