Barcelona don't like it up em !!!!!!!!!! They are so used to having everything go their way, they simply cannot handle it when a team ignores their trillion passes per metre game, and sticks it up em on the counter. First instinct is to whinge to the referee, then to look for anyone to blame. Nou Camp will be very, very difficult, because they really can play, but if the ref stays neutral, and that's a big if, Chelsea definitely know how to put it to them , and how to stop them. Not easy, but we can do it, or go down kicking and screaming. Robbie de M, more of the same please.
We employ exactly the same tactics and try and frustrate. If we can get through the first 20 minutes we'll have a real chance. If we score first on the counter we have a massive chance to progress. Barca scoring 3 past us would be a big task. If and probably when they score and how we react will be a massive factor. For me, this is a real 50/50 tie now.

Genius. We actually beat Barca in the 60s; and won a European trophy before you (71). As did UNited, Leeds, Wolves, Arsenal, Celtic, Spurs, Rangers, City etc... Liverpool: Europe's Johnny come latelys.... However, you were the first club to hand out plastic flags... handing them out v Dynamo Dresden.
15 games EF! And 8 games Messi has played against us without a single goal. Is that record an extra special one as I believe we must be the only team he has played so many times against and failed to score? And first time ever with 10 men that we avoid defeat against Barcelona.
I dont know the number ,but we were well supported. There were c 40k in the ground., and there were more of us than them. On the plane out Michael Crawford had the seat in front of me in the plane! After the game which we drew 1-1 we had to come home , before the replay 2 days later. When we got to Athens airport , the players were all in the airport lobby seeing off their WAGS and we all had a great laugh with Webbie, Ossie , Chopper, Dempsey , Bonetti et al. What a party!!
