http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27208865 I am surprised none of you have bothered to post this today!! It is wonderful that a club of Chelsea's status is doing this!! Come on guys, be proud of this instead of dissing your Premiership rivals which can be a little tiresome. For what it is worth, I remember going along on the tube one afternoon to Viglen to make an order for a computer, and noticed two Asian boys wearing Chelsea tops bearing the name "Gullit." To my mind that was when Chelsea started the process of becoming a much more appealing club by reaching out and tapping into the potential support of all kinds of Londoners, and ultimately to creating a worldwide support.
We're all racist chavs though apparently... It's been going on for a few years now so most of us are aware of it. A very good scheme indeed.
remember from one of the goons thread, they were abusing an asian kid - who was wearing goons kit made by Puma. they were abusing him as if he was a poor, sad, tard with bootleg kit. Apparently kid knew goons were going to sign with Puma as kit sponsors. Now who is racist and Chavs? Cannot stand some of those arrogant goons!!
If you get the Chelsea mag, there's always an article about foreign fan clubs, and Asian countries are often featured!
I can't help think that Asian Star is a win win. Word of mouth is the best advertising. It doesn't really matter what non-Asian Chelsea fans think about it, the impact it has in the Asian community here and abroad is the important thing for the club and football in general.
