Think they're gonna give it a right go next year but is Chilwell worth 50 mil https://amp-theguardian-com.cdn.amp...igning-of-ben-chilwell-from-leicester-for-50m
Fee is mad but when you look past that he’s right up there with best in the league, he’s better than Alonso defensively and his equal going forward, bar set plays. They are in a luxury position that the ban means they can spend way more than anyone else as it runs over 3 years spend v turnover, and they are doing a great job. Thiago Silva expected tomorrow as well and with him, Werner, Pulisic and Ziyech, they look quality for next season. Be great to watch as well.
Probably. He's 23, 11 England caps and a 5 year contract. Got a very good player and has room to improve and better than everyother left back they have. Lampard getting a talented young group together that he'll think can grow and learn together over the next few years.
I thought Leicester might have asked for another 15m - 20m, tbh. He’s a great age, already broke into the England team and potentially he’s going to be one of the best left backs in the world. A great deal for Chelsea with plenty of room for profit if he develops as expected and then move on at a later date.
Mind, Leicester are just incredible and finding, growing and moving on players aren’t they. Whether it’s youth lads or picking them up from elsewhere, the amount of players they take to the top level is so impressive. Fair play to them.
Great signing for them imo. If they get Havertz as well they will be very exciting to watch and should give it a real go next season. I don't think they are finished in the market either, keeper and centre half on their list. Pressure will be on Lampard to deliver a trophy though.
