Porto president Pinta da Costa has admitted he is helpless to prevent Andre Villas-Boas leaving as reports claim Chelsea have made a move for him.

Only 33 and led Porto to a cracking season just gone. Not confirmed yet, but seems like a quick rise to the top for this man.

Is he the new Mourinho?

His start in football came about as a kid writing to Bobby Robson slanging off his decisions and tactics. (Lived in the same apartment block it seems)

So it seems questioning a managers decisions, isn't all about having an "agenda".

Be interesting to see how he does.

I had to laugh about managing the British Virgin Isles and they didn't know he was so young.

Wiki but it should still be pretty close. :)

Villas-Boas is an absolutely astounding tatician and all round manager. Said it a few times I wish he was here at our club because IMO he is the new Mourinho. Won three trophies with Porto this year and last year he didnt do too shabby either.

Worked under the special one at Porto, Chelsea and Inter. I'd be very surprised if he isn't at Barca, Real, MU etc by the end of next season.

Think he should stay at Porto though, for sure. He's only young and doesn't want to be tarnished with a failed season at CFC, which it surely will be.

...or he can come to SAFC <ok>

This. He will be a class manager, perhaps surpassing the special one.

Breaking News! Andre Villas-Boas sacked by Chelsea for failing to win Champions League from our correspondent Mystic Meg

Fixed for you. <ok>

The interesting thing about this guy he has no personal football experience.

Makes a mockery of the stick people use to beat me on here.
Where by they would take the opinion of a manager, player or even a pundit over mine.

This guy got his chance by questioning decisions he disagreed with.

I await the call from Barcelona, of course I will still talk to you guys but may not post as much. <ok>

Thanks for that with your infinite wisdom.

He probably doesn't talk as much ****e as me. :p

Just seen it says HE is going to pay off the £13.5 mill himself. ????

He has that sort of money to throw about already?

33 year old, questioned SBR as a young-un, got a break. Manages Virgin Isles at 21.

Think they were unbeaten in league last season, won 2 cups.

Easy life, multi-millionaire, could bring players like Falcao and Hulk to the Prem. Still worry about his choice of English club though. Chelsea, hardly known for their pattience, but isn't Hiddink gonna be upstairs in some role to help him out?

Not any easy club to manage, and risk blemishing your reputation. If Arsene was ever to leave Arsenal, he would be more suited to them...

Roman Ab, total twat with managers, and had some of the top one's.
