After ambling to a 1-0 win against the swans, i'm hoping we do a lot better.

Admittedly it was the 3rd game in a week including a stupid trip out to qarabag but still, it was disappointing not to tonk swansea even though they offered nothing going forward but you could feel the nerves towards the end of the match,

Disappointingly we didn't create that many clear cut chances so hopefully we'll go out and smash a well organised newcastle side who are missing their defensive leader in lascelles.

Hazard should be back so i'm guessing we'll revert back to the 3-5-2 formation which has served us well recently.

Morata looks like he needs a rest but i doubt conte will give him that.

    Going for a 3-0 win

I think everyone must know how sluggish they were against Swans, so we should see more energy in this one. Hazard will start ,and Luiz if fit, along with Dave. Alonso is due a day off, Bakayoko needs a quick run out so as not to lose his mojo, and Fabregas should start with an early sub. Not sure about Michy, but Morata looks just a bit jaded as well.
Would be nice to power into an early lead then use some subs. Conte used subs perfectly against Swans, so he's obviously on the case.
Always happy with a 1-0 win, think we might get a couple more.

Pull fcuking Cescy Now for will ffs to get 3 pts.

Wtf Eden celebrating there ?? 1-1 get the fcuking ball and start the game.

We need at least 3 to get 3 pts with Cescy in there.

Ginge you got to be Cescy's personal assistant or something..

Drinky did what Cescy could never do in the future.
Another day, Drinky would have had 4 assists.

    Alonso was awful again.

Kante & Drinky are making an impressive partnership like Almighty & Priest!!

    Up the Blues!!

Stan Fab was fab today all the commentators said as much but you're right about Drinkwater he played well today but he's no Fabregas.

Fab was awesome today, his through balls and general passing were on another level.
Eden aside, he was MOTM for me

Fab was fab, he seems to have upped his performances despite playing a lot of games. Hazard again miles above average.
I thought average is the right word to describe that match, but I guess 2 days rest was just not enough. Moses was poor again but did improve by end of match, all others OK but again looked like the sleeping tablets were still working.
Apart from Hazard and occasionally Morata, we played dull, sideways and backwards football with Fabregas every now and again putting through a great long ball. Call me crazy, but for me Drinkwater so far has brought nothing except huff and puff to the team. Without Luiz, absolutely nothing starts from the back, and we looked as if no one had any intention of attacking the goals except Hazard. To be honest, at 3-0 I could have turned it off and gone to sleep.
Another win, 3 points, but deadly dull football . Hope the good stuff is being reserved for Tuesday night.

haha i must have watched a different game. I thought we played well although Newcastle looked like they threatened. They were very compact and organised and worked hard. Fab played well. Hazard was excellent minus his appalling finishing. Drinky i thought played alright, nice ball through to hazard, worked hard but could have passed a bit better. Alonso looks tired and it was his mistake (imo) for their first when he tapped it back to courtois.

Kante again was excellent and i thought Moses looked really dangerous so i thought it was odd you thought he played bad. I'm not normally the biggest fan of Moses end product but he was very good, setup moratas goal, so dangerous crosses and won the pen.

I didn't think our back 3 was that bad in possession. Christensen doesn't play it long and forward but he played some nice balls through the middle today and rudiger always has that killer ball (where morata got clattered by darlow).

Moses started awful, but after the 1st goal he settled down and played nice.
Remember, Moses is working his way back into the game after his lay off.

Tony has serious options for the LWB. But his persistence with Alonso is mind boggling just like his Cescy thing. Kenedy can be a real alternative. Or Play Azpi on that Leftside. He isn't too bad and an impressive upgrade over Lazy Alonso.

Thibo - was once again as usual fcuking useless in getting simple things done.
He Could've should've gifted Toons 2nd goal late in to the 2nd half to make it a grandstand finish <doh>
Will bite Real's hand off for 20M pounds for him.

Baka benching is good. He needs that break & kick up his backside. He is becoming more of Rambo than Kante, especially after that Atleti game away.

I am just hurting for Willian. Willian should start all of these games with Eden instead of Cescy all day every day!!

The way Fabregas is playing Stan he deserves to be an automatic starter.

    :) whatever with Cescy.

Moses finishing is suspect. But his final ball is mostly impressive. Zappa's final ball & finishing both are suspect.
Moses has done more in 1 game than Zappa has done in the last 3 or 4 games.

I would love if Moses gets trained on Defending from Zappa & Zappa gets trained on attacking from Moses.
In the meanwhile Alonso should get trained from both Moses & Zappa on attack & Defense <doh>
Only freekick is a tangible quality from Marcos!!

Just shame that nobody has called out Marcos today.

Alonso had an excuse in Cahill. What now??
