As the only team representing England, Will you be supporting our neighbours in the Champions League Semi-Final? Will the result of this two legged encounter have any effect on our match with them later this month? I'll go for 1-0 (Drogba) Chelsea tonight and 0-0 at the nou camp.
You have to win the home leg by two goals to have a chance. Preferably two entertaining draws followed by extra-time, penalties and tearful elimination but I think they might still be on a high from Sunday and win tonight followed by getting turned over comfortably in Spain. Even if they played out of their skins, it wouldn't suit Platini to not have UEFA's darlings in the final. I think you'll struggle to find many Rangers fans wanting a Chelsea win.
Certainly not the local boys understandably. I'll be egging them on though. Gotta support our Clubs in Europe boys.
Right in one Watford. I would like two humiliating massacres, lots of injuries ( not life threatening, I'm not a vindictive man) massive internal arguments within the team, complete meltdown.
No chance I ever support Celtic or Rangers. Ill support teams like Spurs, Arsenal and Newcastle if they get there but thats about it.
The latter, Id support Rep of Ireland teams but not Northern Irish, Welsh or the jocks (Celtic and Rangers take their stupidity to another level). Thankfully they usually bow out at the 1st opportunity. As posted above, Liverpool are a despicable club and they are on the **** list too.
But they are in thevEuropa League already through winning the League Cup. Come on Swords, you've been sussed.
I'm with Swords - I always want British Clubs to win in Europe, not sure you can call that "support" though!
I honestly don't get that thing about wanting British clubs to win in Europe, for the most part, teams that get in to Europe are often teams I hate, why would I support them just cos they're playing against another country's team, I don't want them to win matches normally. I will support teams from Britain in Europe if I like them normally, such as Celtic, Tottenham, obviously QPR, possibly Newcastle. I'd never support Chelsea in Europe, i'd never support Arsenal in Europe (unless they're playing Chelsea) and i'd never support Liverpool in Europe (unless they're playing the 2 mentioned!)
I can never bring myself to support Chelsea, regardless of their opponents... However I do like Roberto di Matteo and I also usually go for the underdog, which is Chelsea tonight... Think I'm firmly in the neutral territory for this one. Just hoping for a couple of draining fixtures for them so they're knackered when we play them! Also I don't think Barcelona knocking them for six particularly suits us... didn't Chelsea win 5-0 in Europe before we beat them 1-0 at our place? District Line??
I love watching football but of course i would root for Barca ... I actually am with SB73 on this ... hoping for a few nasty injuries and a total loss of form .. we must get three points
For me here in Norway, working with people from all over Europe there's a lot of cred and abuse going down based on the national teams, and also on how the Clubs from each country are doing in the CL and Europa League, which leads to dicussion on how strong the Leaues are in each country. So generally I want the British and mainly English clubs to do well in Europe, that way for one for QPR to do well in the PL will mean a lot more if the PL is strong, than if it is weak which it seems to be this season judging by European results.
