Looks another safety line up to me. Last game against Arsenal we threw away due to no speed in attack. Now we have the same problem. Rudiger for Cahill is better, expect Alonso will get more involved with Rudiger behind him, but without William or Pedro we look slow up front again. What the *#%$ has Willian done wrong? Looks to me like Conte is trying to force him out unless he's injured. This must be Moratas big chance to come good. With any decent striker in the squad he would be warming benches if he misses sitters again like last few games.
Oh well, fingers crossed, like the old bloke in the Shed End said," You have to go at Arsenal, they don't like it up em".

Morata is a right footed player with two left feet!

Fell asleep after 10 mins and had this weird dream that Morata stayed on his feet, Drinkwater got involved, Hazard passed to a Chelsea player, Christensen passed the ball forward, Dave rampaged down the touchline, Fabregas ran directly at goal, and the team showed urgency and attacking flair. Then the whistle woke me and it was half time and 0-0.

    wow just wow.

Conte absolutely pathetic. Wenger has him round his little finger. Everyone knows this arsenal team are boring and a soft touch. Give them time on the ball and they are just happy to past it around at the back which we happily let them. This arsenal team, with hardly any attacking instinct and we sit back off them.

Those subs were shocking too. A game like this needs players to be brave and direct. We literally only have Morata up top by himself against 3 defenders. Moses never takes the opportunity to take his man on which is why we should play zappacosta out there. Alonso i can't blame as he's never going to beat bellerin in a 1 on 1 battle.

Also Hazard again showing exactly why he's so overrated. Can be a world class talent but decision making is shocking. Then the final straw was bringing in Bakayoko for hazard. Why he's happy for a draw, against a **** arsenal side who are under pressure having been mullered by forest i don't know. Dark horses for CL but only because we'll draw our way to the final.

Conte seems more busy arguing with Mourinho nowadays than planning for a match against arsenal. Everytime we play them we lack chances and that is unforgivable. 0-0 at the bridge (no chances), 2-1 in the cup with fek all chances, 2-2 at arsenal because of a soft pen (to be fair we had a few chances but all long balls not our play). Easy to defend against Chelsea just flood the middle (see west ham, arsenal, anyone who makes us play wide).

Well that was bloody depressing. If Conte is trying to make the point to Marina that he needs better players, he's doing a great job.
Only Kante, Moses and Alonso convinced that they are actually alive, the rest looked at least half dead. Mediocrity , raise thyself from thy torpor and be gone.
Lousy selections by Conte.............. again. Not only was the midfield useless but our system is looking threadbare. There are no goals anywhere in the team at the moment due in no small part to a lack of speed, not running speed, but in our attack play. With our lack of size, power, and form, we need a serious make over.
Conte set us up for a draw and achieved it.

On the bright side, after a **** first half we get another chance in the second to redeem ourselves.

Another lacklustre performance on the back of that fa cup game. We all got to see Kante and Drinkwater and then Drinkwater has a stinker!

Arsenal need to be bullied and we just played our usual sit off and try and counter. May work at the Emirates but Arsenal will be delighted to get out with a draw.

2 cup games in a week to try and put this week behind us.

Agree. We should have gone at Arsenal like Home league game.

They let in one and they collapse.

    Rudiger only positive for me.

    But don’t overreact, CP.

Serious makeover is a ridiculous overreaction.

    Our league form is w5 d2 L0.

Oh, and Azpi was excellent last night.

What a fantastic player he is, and a central defence of Azpi, Christensen and Rudiger looks v good for future

Azpi was OK you're right, but nowhere near his best. The back 3 do look very good for the future, especially when Christensen goes to the next level and adds some attack to his bag, which he is starting to do, he's a great talent. But what happens when Luiz goes, Cahill drops further and someone gets injured? No back up, except Zouma?
In midfield we have Kante and a sometimes Fabregas. Bakayoko is nowhere near what is needed yet, nor is Drinkwater and Barkley has never shown any consistency in his stop start career. We have Ampadu , who excels when he plays, but never plays, and then zip. Oh and Loftus Cheek , who I believe, is already talking to City and PSG.
    We have Alonso and ????
We have Morata and ??? We have Willian and Pedro who rarely get selected, and Hazard who is likely to go, and Courtois , ditto.
I'd be looking at some kind of makeover if it was my job to be manager. Some of what's needed is already on our books, but needs to be selected and played.
We're going OK right now agreed, but next season???? More mediocrity and continue to play catchup, or a sound, team building program, buying fewer but much better ,uninjured and in form players?
Let's see what the end of this transfer period brings.

January transfers don't usually bode well for clubs but we've had a few good un's over the years in Cahill and Matic. <ok>

He might be trying to give Marina a nudge to let the moths out of the handbag, so she can find the 60mill for Alex Sandro !!!!!!
