In all seriousness what does this mean for nufc? No doubt the media will say this one is fine because its not state owned, but neither is newcastle
Probably means very little too us tbh. I was interested to see how much we would spend in Jan to see if PIF were serious. We were in line to spend 150M if a few clubs agreed the fees. No worries for us
This confuses me. So can someone clarify. Will they be richer than us? Are they connected to PIF at all?
No. One person, Khalid al Saud, linked to help the private buyer is ceo of Saudi Telecom who pif have shares in so he won’t be allowed to be involved formally
I think it's a consortium so they'll have a collective clout.. To pay 3 billion says they have it anyway I would've thought anyone that gets in pifs way would be dealt with in a way they see as appropriate.
Highly doubt this Saudi bid will happen, or if they even have that kind of money. The individual in question is worth about £1bn. There's still a lot of false posturing in that region. I agree with the view that it'll be bought by a consortium not currently harping on about it, probably with US links. It's a US firm brokering the sale, you know they like to keep it in the family.
Ha ha well that’s good news then. But yes the Chelsea fans seem to think they have won the jackpot. But sounds like they have not.
