Could be a knock-on effect of Abramovitch's visa problems?

Why would he want to make a massive long-term investment in Chelsea and the UK in general if his money is allowed to stay but he isn't?

Think there's more to this than just an issue with local planning, etc.

    Roman getting cold feet?

Or maybe they're just realising they have a **** fanbase that won't be able to sell out a new stadium?

Probably a mix of both actually.

no surprises, it's cheaper to just buy a 90k all seater in wembley than build that bird cage

Wouldn't say very happy but you simpletons provide mild satisfaction when you bite so easily.

"The decision was due to the current unfavourable investment climate".

Interesting statement, that. Is the UK starting look like a bad place for foreign investors generally, or do they mean specifically for dirty Russian money?

Or used you as leverage in his dealings with the Home Office. Which would be an interesting gamble in itself.

    Good point.

Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary will not be helping Roman's cause either.
