Another underwhelming performance from England so far. Though maybe i'm wrong, as the game's been unable to hold my attention for more than 30 seconds.
Disagree, went 1-0 up with a ten minute spell of domination, with a great finish. Then controlled the game and just let Belgium have it in areas that they are not going to cause any danger, who in turn have being poor and allowed us to control and defend exceptionally well. Belgium are a very good side to, who we have made look poor. Problem is it feels like a friendly at times due to the amount of injuries and subs.
I honestly think I'm better than Glen Johnson. He didn't do a single thing right tonight and if I was Micah Richards I'd be feeling very hard done by. Parker and Cole played well, how Gerrard won MOTM is beyond me.
It was a great finish, but can you really get excited by that performance? Too many average players at the moment.
I thought we were crap going forward. I think we are in general crap in attack. If we keep these clean sheets though that's half of it.
Why should i feel excited? Spain fans before 2008 Euro's where not excited, neither where Greek fans before it when they won it. People seem to forget the last two winners of this tournament did it by soaking up a lot of pressure, and then being clinical when they had it. The team clearly is work in progress, but Hodgson has had two games to get them playing a completely different system compared to the one Capello had what did we all expect?
True. Watching England isnt like watching a Barca match, sit back and be entertained. Its nerve shredding agony. Always doubting always hoping expecting the worst hoping for the best. Suffering is a good word for it.
I agree Cole is certainly the best left back in the world right now. Also just want to add, why does Milner get picked, he's abysmal
That's the best thing about watching England, with Barca you almost 100% of the time expect them to win with their passing football, I'd rather bite my nails with ambivilance watching my country than a bunch of diving tossers playing fancy triangle football in their own half for 10 minutes
It doesn't entertain me either but I would much rather watch that then play Wet Spam style hoof ball and hope for the best
