http://andersred.blogspot.com/2012/02/income-up-costs-down-chelsea-getting-in.html Great Blog and reasons for us to be optimistic
Its really good to see our finances improve! I did read (i think) that in the first 3 years clubs can be "let off" as long as improvements were made year by year (ie: if year one the loss was £70mil then in year 2 the loss would need to be below the £70mil) which would give us a chance to get in order. As long as the wage structure is actually structered that would make a massive difference, my only concern is our faith in youngsters which is the direction we and most clubs will need to go in to meet FFP. I can see us buying youngsters left and right but i dont see them playing. And if we were to sack AVB for not cutting it which is too likely then the new manager would demand signings, its the same circle chelsea go through far too often.
This tallies with what Sporting Intell say: http://www.sportingintelligence.com...-wages-dont-count-for-first-two-years-010205/
DL- by nature I'm an optimist. Whatever dark things happen to us I always believe we'll come through in the end! We have the best people to handle finances, so I never got in a sweat about about this!
