You whinge about getting called a Chelsea fan but you continue to post articles on their board. Just admit it matth.
Thought this was already done. Let's hope it doesnt fall over, especially now Lukaku has requested a transfer. Madness how he's been handled. Both he and De Bruyen will leave Chelsea covered in egg. Jose needs to lift his game when it comes to handling talented but petulent kids. Often both traits go together and we miss out because Jose wants then to roll over and genuflect.
Or maybe these upstarts need to knuckle down and learn their trade before thinking they are superstars? Leave Chelsea covered in egg? Are you serious? We are proven one of the absolute top teams in Europe. Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku are currently potential and it seems gobby potential if their dealings with the media are anything to go by. JM demands a siege mentality and these kids will learn that the hard way. If you don't want to fight and play for our shirt with pride then don't led the door hit you on the way out.
They do want to fight and play for the shirt, what they don't want to do is park the bus every week or sit on the bench watching others do so. Jose has plenty of previous with young talented players who "get above" themselves , and not much of it positive. He has a poor history of turning such players into regulars, Robben being maybe the best example, Ballotelli another. De Bruyen and Lukaku are the next in the line. Jose has proven repeatedly that he doesn't rate flair and skill as much as dour dogged effort and die before I give in players. Didn't see any evidence of attitude with Lukaku at Everton, nor De Bruyen for Belgium. Also see Hazard is rated 4 th best player in the game, so hardly an upstart who needs to learn his trade. Fergie got respect and performances from just such players by encouragement and mentoring. Jose does things differently. All this means is that some players are not right for Joses squads. No one is arguing about Joses success, but I am questioning his record with young talent, and I believe I have a valid point.
The only young player i can think of Jose giving a chance is Varane, and that was because he fell out with Pepe and had injuries to others so had no real choice.
As soon as you mentioned parking the bus 'every week' I gave up - a typical tabloid retort with absolutely no thought process. Do you mean that parking the bus team who had more shots on goal last season than any other side in the premiership? Not bad for a club who don't leave their own half eh? Of course there was no attitude from Lukaku at Everton. He had his spot in the side every week which he considers his entitlement. You can't and won't get that at Chelsea and our respective cabinets in recent times will show you the difference between the two clubs. I didn't hear Lampard crying he wanted to leave despite us signing dozens of midfielders over the years and him having to fight for his place. The one thing I won't dispute is that I would like RL to stay at our club and prove himself a top, top striker but he needs to learn he cannot go undermining our manager and club in the way that he has. The kid is only 21/22 (recently out of nappies) - does he really think he can dictate to Chelsea FC? No one rocks our BUS!
Also Fergie did not put up with any player power crap, even if it meant losing good players: Pogba, Stam, Tevez, Ince, Beckham, Ruud Van Nistlerooy. Only Rooney he caved in to in the end, and he dropped him too
Spot on. Additionally, when he first arrived he wasn't shy to rid United of McGrath and Whiteside who were Bryan Robsons drinking buddies. They were both great players but Fergie could see the bigger picture and they were gone. The United fans were up in arms but he was proved correct. Lukaku has every right to knock on JM's door and have a chat privately and if he isn't happy with the outcome then by all means move on. It's the fact he seeks publicity that is annoying and alienating him to much of our support. Reading various websites it seems there is a split between those wanting him to stay and those happy to see him go. If he really truly believed his own hype he would be busting a gut to prove to everyone that he is our number one striker. After all, did he not profess to be a Chelsea 'fan' and moving to Stamford Bridge was a dream come true? Prove it lad. On a side note, I've been reading the forum for a few months prior to signing up. I've seen some great debate about the club we all love and though we may differ in opinion on occasion we all fundamentally want the same thing. Carefree!
Last time it was Jose vs Roman; this time it was Jose vs young uns... why the feck? But back to the topic - Costa not signed yet!
You give up as easily as Jose on the kids, and Jose admitted he parked the bus as often as necessary because "he didn't have the personnel to play differently" or words to the effect he played as the personnel dictated. And We don't have tabloids in Melbourne, so you're wrong there as well. As for entitlement...Terry, Lampard, Cech are three that spring to mind. Don't want this to be anti Jose, which Im not except for his record with kids. Surely a manager has to handle kids as part of the job, and handle them other than sending them to Coventry as a default position??
I'm sensing you have a Mourinho agenda mate and that is your entitlement. At no point did JM state he parked the bus as 'he didn't have the personnel to play differently'. Why do you feel the need to change his view that we needed to 'change our style and fabricate it with a tabloid line about parking a bus ..... bizarre! When did Chelsea 'park this bus' you speak of? I'd be interested to know. I have already stated (but you seem to ignore) that we had more shots than ANY other side last season. Is there a reason you refuse to give this any credence? I will accept that at times ( in particular Gooners and Liverpool away ) we played solid defence, counter attacking football which only the tabloids and people who know jack about football would call parking the bus. In each of those games, whilst playing solidly, we created better chances than the opposition and picked up 4 points in the process. Job done. Going gung ho was to our detriment and proved costly at times so JM ( not a bad manager with a fair track record) changed our style and mad us more solid. There really isn't too much more to it than that and I call it pretty sensible ....... you call it 'parking the bus' ........ so did the Sun, the Daily Mirror and the Daily Mail which is only a click away. Because it is written it doesn't mean we can't form our own opinion. If you cannot see the difference between the way West Ham played at our place and the way we played vs Gooners & Liverpool then there aint much hope in trying to offer you a differing view. Terry, Lamps, Cech - entitlement? You've lost me. I assume that you feel they have a sense of entitlement as regards their selection. I don't for a second agree with that but if it were the case at least they have EARNED it. WTF has Lukaku done to merit such? Your right, the manager does have to manage the kids as part of his job and on the basis off that if they aren't good enough or they have an unacceptable attitude he can choose not to select them or get rid. After all, he sees them every day in training and can be the only one who can make that decision. It is his job on the line at the end of the day. I repeat, Lukaku was asked to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place but he chose not to and bummed off to Everton - how can JM be blamed for that? Anyway, good debate mate despite our mirrored opinions. Cheers!
If Lukaku had kept his mouth shut and trained better maybe he would have broken into the first team last season. He did not accept the challenge so we may never know
