'Due to current unfavourable investment climate' The Times reports that Abramovich is 'unwilling to invest £1bn in a country where he is not currently allowed to work.' Oh dear, let's hope he doesn't take all his money out of the club.
https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2018/5/31/stadium-plans-on-hold Well if Roman is unable to bankroll the scum anymore with his ill gotten gains then they wont need a bigger stadium. All the glory hunters and tourists will go and get Man City season tickets And Chelsea will get back to basics flirting with bankruptcy like when Ken Bates was the chairman
Smacks of petulance to me, toys out of pram due to not getting a visa.. Hopefully he does one and pulls his hard earned out.
I thought they were blocked anyway due to the single house complaining! https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...g-row-compulsory-purchase-light-a8160931.html Probably a bit of both and getting bored with his toy subbuteo that he can’t expand it!
With the owner & the money gone, I'd feel quite at ease if Chelsea were to slide into the Championship for a decade or two. Just saying ..................
Maybe one of those totally naive owners will come in to replace Abramovich....you know the ones that employs people like Arry... Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
I heard a commentator on the radio saying much the same thing, that there would be plenty of other super rich investors ready to buy up a successful Premier League club like Chelsea if Abramovitch were to pull out. But there is a big difference between being rich enough to buy a club and pouring billions into one with no real hope of seeing a return (other than success on the pitch) as we have seen at Chelsea, Man City and PSG. Without that kind of insane commitment Chelsea would become just one of the mid-size clubs that try and often fail to do battle with the giants of Manchester and North London. Aston Villa springs to mind as an example. Here's hoping
