Our key match V Chelsea has been scheduled for Wednesday 8th May. So we play Southampton at home on the Saturday then Chelsea and Stoke away the following Saturday. If we can gain maximum points from the City and Wigan matches and Saints, the Chavs match may not have to be a must win.
so matches on the 5th, 8th and 11th? A tough set of fixtures, especially seeing as stoke could be battling against relegation by then we all know hoe good we're are at breaking Stoke down....
Cheers for the info Perry This leaves the run in as follows (with my predictions) Spurs Tottenham V Man City 3 Wigan V Tottenham 3 Tottenham V Southampton 3 Chelsea v Tottenham 1 Stoke V Tottenham 1 Tottenham V Sunderland 3 Chelsea Fulham V Chelsea 1 Liverpool V Chelsea 0 Chelsea V Swansea 3 Man Utd V Chelsea 0 Chelsea v Tottenham 1 Aston Villa V Chelsea 3 Chelsea V Everton 3 Arsenal Arsenal V Everton 1 Fulham V Arsenal 3 Arsenal V Man Utd 0 QPR V Arsenal 3 Arsenal V Wigan 3 Newcastle V Arsenal 3 Everton Arsenal V Everton 1 Sunderland V Everton 3 Everton V Fulham 3 Liverpool V Everton 1 Everton V West Ham 3 Chelsea V Everton 0 Leaving 3rd to 6th as follows 3 Arsenal 72 4 Tottenham 72 5 Chelsea 69 6 Everton 66 What strikes me is how difficult Chelsea's games are. Not a single gimme in there (Fulham would be normally for them, but local rivalry, agent Jol factors) How do the rest of you see this?
So we play Sat, Sat, Wed, Sun. Couldn't be much better for us as Chelsea play 2 Europa League ties in the weeks ahead and with an away trip to Unitedon the Sunday before our game. It's not a huge advantage but it's nice to have and regardless of how Rafa manages his rotation you'd expect them to drop some points over that period.
I would prefer 3rd and 4th the other way round,so somewhere the goon's will have to drop points, which they could easily do the way they have blown hot and cold this season
I'd prefer second, but it is how I see the results going. The way they are playing, we could beat Stoke I think, then losing tp Chelsea wouldn't matter. Of course, we could lose the lot and watch Everton overtake the pair of us.

Both have us losing to Chelsea. That means it will be like a cup final and even if the rest of your predictions are right, that game will be the decider. At the beginning of the season, I would have settled for a game in May to settle qualification. What a game that will be if both teams are in touch.
I've used the Beebs predictor and with various score lines here or there (within reason), I keep seeing us having a showdown decider with Chelsea. I think that game will be the decisive match.
I remember being in this position last season. An excel spreadsheet open on my laptop just staring at the fixtures and thinking "****... this is going to be painful". I remember this part of the season feeling like the longest stint ever, counting down the weeks. - Watching Chelsea somehow progress and progress through the CL. Getting Wummed 24/7 by my mates. Then there was that final day madness when Fulop caused total controversy. (still convinced that in a few years we'll find out there was something dodgy behind that incident. 1 clanger, ok, fair enough, Goalkeepers make them. 3 horrific pieces of goalkeeping in 1 game? Sorry, but it doesn't wash with me). But we still had hope. There was no chance of Chelsea winning the CL against Bayern was there? I mean, they'd been very flukey beating Barca and had an insane amount of luck on their side.... Then we waited and counted down the days to the CL final. The "FC Bayern Hotspur" thread and profile avatars to match. Every spurs fan behind Bayern, praying that they'll do the job that Barca couldn't seem to manage.. 120 mins then penalties. Then Drogba. The WUM texts came flooding in within seconds. But I remained gracious in what felt like defeat, despite the fact we'd not played. I remember replying with "congratulations on winning the CL". - that was it. It nearly killed me writing that to a WUM chav fan. Sorry if I've made you all feel sick, but whatever happens this season in our run in, it cannot be any worse than last year. They say Karma is a bitch... so who knows eh?
Its very similar though. Most the season Chelsea and Arse have been getting it for "being ****" (or whatever) whereas we've had spells where we have been praised. Yet the outcome could be that Chelsea and Arse on "****" seasons still bum **** us, just like last year. Mathematically it doesn't matter a jot but it seems a better finish is better than a better start. I guess a dip in form at the end of the season is more likely exploited due to tiredness or something. But you're right, at least neither of them will be champions of europe.
Only difference for me is that I think we will lose against Citeh but get a point against The Chavs - which actually means we pip them by a point. Wishful thinking or Mystic Mug??
it's all just too hard to call relayer, and it's already beginning to stress me out. All season my goon mates have been moaning about everything at arsenal, basically because they were margainly behind us in the league. Now their ahead of us by a point and suddenly attitudes have changed. No longer do we hear #WengerOut and a sense of cockyness has kicked in, which i find hilarious. Strangely, it's my chav mates who've been the quietest. They all seem very worried about saying anything, and I'm pretty sure it's down to Rafa. There'd be something very sweet tasting about Chelsea not making the CL after we had to sit and watch them win it last season, preventing us from qualifying. But also for AVB, the man who was sacked without being given a chance. It's a funny old world. You never know, we might have ourselves a new "Rafa".
