http://www.newscientist.com/article...012-GLOBAL-facebookgoogletwitter#.U35qHtJdXfK We pissed the league too easily that season. If we'd remained focussed to the end, we'd have got close to 100 points
We won 15 of the first 16 games and conceded no goals in the first 5 games. I remember the Sun doing an article saying they would pay £10k to the first player to score against us. I seem to remember it was James Beattie in a game at SB againt Everton, he scored in 40 odd seconds from the kick off (guess he needed the cash ) We still won the game tho 2-1 or 3-1 (cant remember). First game of the season we were away to Wigan on their PL debut and they played awesome, kept us out for 92 minutes, just as it looked like a 0-0, Crespo scored a screamer from 30 yards in what was pretty much the last kick of the game.
Think that game was against Southampton when we conceded early. Remember the Crespo goal well, cracker!
