Seeing as Barca won't pay around 45m for Cesc, maybe we can put in a Cheeky bid in for him. He would solve all our midfield problems for the next 8-10 years, and he's the next best thing from Xavi,Iniesta and Sneijer.

I think 45m-50m would be a good deal from him,
afterall considering Snijer would cost around 40m and Modric will also cost around 35m. Also Cesc is only 24 and still has many years in him which is the ideal replacement for Scholes.

Some people say he won't join to another English club, but didn't torres say that to?

The thought is nice but there would be no chance.

I doubt they will sell Nasri when he is in the last year of his contract to us let alone Cesc.

I also feel Cesc is alot more loyal than Nasri and wouldn't dream of joining us

Cesc is great but once again hes proved somewhere in the region on **** all during his career.

Its not like hes had a rubbish team around him either, hes had a very good side yet hes not been able to lead them to any sort of success in his entire career. I would seriously question the mentality of every arsenal player.

Everyone knows he will go to Barcelona eventually, I would bet my life that you will never see him paying for united.

Why is it up to him to win the trophies for us? I have seen the players who pull their weight and who don't and he is definitley a winner.

Hes your captain so its most certainly up to him to step up and lead by example. Our captains have won us trophies in the past as have other clubs.

He hasnt. I question his mentality as I question all Arsenal players. Doesnt mean I dont rate him or some of your players. Dont confuse the 2.

I wouldn't question his mentality. I think he's shown that in important games like vs Barca over the last couple of seasons and Chelsea back in December that he can step his own game up.

But I do question his ability to captain the side and drive other players to achieve and play at their best. Great captains like Keane, Rio, Gerrard, Vieira and Terry would not accept the kind of half arsed displays that some of the Arsenal players have put in at various points in recent seasons. Fabregas raises his own performance, but rarely seems to raise the performance of those around him.

That's not necessarily a slight on him tho - I don't think similar players like Xavi, Scholes and Alonso would make great captains either. Their style of play means they focus on reading and influencing the tempo of the game, rather than the performance of their own players. Wenger should have brought in a better, more combative, player as captain, or should simply never have let Vieira leave.

I heard accrington Stanley have put a cheeky bid in for Cristiano Ronaldo. Seeing as Man city havn't got the funds to get even Jamie O Hara, The Stanleys have a big chance for Rons services <ok>

I think Wenger made a mistake giving him the Captain's armband at such a young age. You can tell it is a huge weight on his shoulders. Wenger has made the mistake of not buying players recently with enough experience. Now this expectation on such a wonderfully gifted side will weigh on every single players mind. I don't envisage them signing any top bracket players this season and I can see them falling by the wayside with other teams are stepping it up. As good as Fabregas is anyway, he's not a leader but he will shine when left to do his own job. He'll go to Barcelona, and they will be even more brilliant.

I think Fergie should just spend 100m to buy Wilshere, Fabregas,Nasri and RVP.
Seeing we have some Ronaldo money left, I think they will strengthen our squad significantly.

Tommrow's headline would be "100m Bid Accepted for Arsenal Quartet-Wenger to reinvest the money back in youth development".

They would cost more than that. Wilshire 50 million, Fabregas 50 million, Nasri 10 million and RvP 40 million.

Well RVP will be 30m-40m, Fabregas 45m.
Wilshere is hard to predict a value, but he could worth up to 50m, since Carroll is worth 35m.
