The draw for the next round is in the next half an hour or so.. I think this is by far our best chance of a trip to Wembley, so find myself waiting with interest..

News: Sunderland handed tricky home draw against ‘the Magpies’ in Checkatrade Trophy!
After going unbeaten right through the group stages of this year’s Checkatrade Trophy, Sunderland will take on Notts County in the next round at the Stadium of Light.
Why is playing Notts County tricky (in theory). They are doing ****.

It's knock out all the way to Wembley now. This and the next round is northern region then the southern region joins in for the quarter, semi and final.
Its a good competition for the fringe players to get some game time, its always nice to win but the league is priority, our squad is getting stronger, but we are still vulnerable in one or two positions, mainly GK and CF..
