A couple of routes up to Watford have been helpfully closed by TFL on Saturday for engineering works - both the overground and met lines are part closed. I know most will be heading from Euston - but there is sometimes strikes on this to, though usually Sundays. Either way best to check. In short, they hate us! (or maybe drive). See you there! http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/livetravelnews/realtime/track.aspx?offset=weekend
I ll drive as I always do. I think that the M1 is relatively clear these days apart from around Luton that is. Does anyone use trains these days.? Maybe if you are in Clapham, then you are really up the junction. Personally I d move North to more pleasant pastures away from that theme park at the end of the M1. Surely, the only reason anyone goes to London is to join the rest of the tourists.
Fortunatley though part of the Northern Line is closed I can still get to Euston and get out on the Overground which isn't affected by the works this weekend
Are you British? Use Public Transport in London? Then you are a Foreign minority in our Capital City!!!!
as i said earlier, its about time people realised that the place is no more than a theme park at the end of the M1. In these days of austerity, why hasnt anyone ever mentioned about moving large government depts, the buckingham palce and even parliament itself up to runcorn or grimsby? There must be thousands of empty units capable of holding them at a fraction of the cost.
It's not just us they hate, according to one of the QPR fans I know it's over 7 years since a full timetable was run on the underground on a weekend.
been in London for most of the last 14 years and I don't think there hasn't been a weekend where there have been line closures or delays in some cases
