When we went down I put aside 3 bottles of beer.

One for when Bristol went down, one for when Coventry went down and one for when Hill dies ....... bitter?

No, lager as you're asking <laugh>

We should have drew with Everton though and they would have went down instead. Same thing happened in 1997 when they got the Spurs away match delayed and won.

Not the same at all, the game was deliberately delayed, any other result than a draw would have seen either Bristol City or Coventry relegated irrespective of our score and the debacle of playing the last 15 minutes in the centre circle to avoid scoring. <ok>

    I'm still bitter.
Still my fourth most hated team after Newcastle, Newcastle U21s and Newcastle ladies.

    Really why not?

Is it because it happened a long time ago...

In part, there comes a time when you really ought to let go of things.

Its not as if Coventry or Bristol left a mark on English football as a result. If either were to suddenly not exist, would the rest of the country outside of West Country/West Midlands even notice?
