So what do we think the score will be tonight? And what result would we be happy with? I have a very bad feeling that we are going to lose, but that's probably just the pessimist in me! I would be happy if we took a point, they held Birmingham away from home which was a good result for them. I'm going to go with 1-1. Kermorgant penalty, anyone?
A draw would be an excellent result from this fixture and I'd take it now if it was offered If Charlton did get a penalty CP has got far too much class to let Kermo take it
Johnnie Jackson will take their pens, wont he? I've gone for a 2-0 away win. I think (well, hope) we'll keep a nice clean sheet.
clean sheet and Beckfords first league goal of the season, he'll show Kermo how to chip a ball into a net Tbh id be happy with another clean sheet, but no doubt we'll get moaners on the radio if we fail to score.
If JJ is on the pitch, there is no way Kermo would get an opportunity. But I also agree that CP wouldn't risk Kermo to get some sort of revenge (for the want of a better word) if we were awarded a penalty.
Not sure of the score, but Ben Marshall WILL score. I feel this is the sort of game he loves. Will you be playing 4-4-2? Ill push my head out at 2-1 us.
I cant see Chris Powell letting Yann take a peno no matter what. Even if Charlton was 5-0 up I doubt Powell would let him take it. One thing we need to do is kill the back to back wins thing early as I wrecked us last season and the year we went down. We need to kill it early
We should be lining up in a 4-4-2. We tested some formations in summer, like 4-3-3 and a midfield diamond but I can't see it changing after our performance on Saturday. Solly kept Marshall quiet last season so am hoping he can rise to the occasion again, as I feel BM will be your biggest threat.
I see Vardy doing well in this match - After seeing him against both Sunderland (smallish low key Leicester support) and Peterborough (cauldron hot support) I thought the occasion/expectation got to him a bit against Peterborough - The Leicester support tonight will be vocal but obviously far lower in numbers than he experienced on Saturday. Just a hunch, we'll see
I'd take a point from this one but we also need to remember we have 3 tricky games coming up after this. Blackpool at home wont be easy. Home form key this year
I'm actually going to be pessimistic and say a 2-1 loss- Charlton are a good side and will be buoyed by their first home game in the Championship. Vardy to score his first league goal for us. But if this is the case, still not going to be negative! Come on you Foxes!
You right as well - happy birthday Nigel Isn't there something in the rules about letting the birthday manager win?
