I'm not so sure. I heard there were about 1,200 for the last home Checkatrade game... (Not suggesting that DickPlumb cannot count that high by the way) #onourwayback #pleasebuytheclub
There will be 18,758 tonight to watch the future stars of the Premiership play.... not sure how they are all going to fit in the West Stand though?
It's an experimental home team tonight at the Valley; So far Charlton have played 17 league games this season - that's 187 starting places. The total number of league starts between the whole Charlton starting XI tonight is ... 10. 5 for Fosu 3 for Marshall 2 for Ajose (described as a "first teamer" on the official website team news ) Still never mind. Good luck to the youngsters - they are the future of RD's wallet
Apparently there are 4 away fans in attendance tonight. If they've actually traveled from Swansea then good for them. There must surely be more than four Swansea supporters living within a mile or two of the Valley, London being the cosmopolitan hub that it is.
Sorry your evening was wasted. You and the other Charlton fans who made the effort to support the team deserved better. Losing isn't the crime. But not giving 100% (even n this competition) should not be forgiven.
