Elfs & I were discussing the actual turnstile attendance for this game on Saturday.

I reckon it could be around 4,000.

@baraettmattesvensson thinks 5,000-6,000.

The club will give it as over 8,000

Anyone going, and will Solly be able to play ?

I will not be going. Rehearsal night. It will be a really tough game and it will be our first home league defeat. Played out to 20000 empty seats.

Personally I would go with the lower end of Elfs' estimate; 5,000 to 5,500 actual people.
There were fewer than 7,000 in the ground on Saturday 11th August, I am sure of it.

Our league crowds have now dropped quite close to what we used to get for uninspiring early round Cup games.
RD might as well close the upper tiers. Would save him a few bob.

PS: I'll be there.
Low expectations, so anything better than a 2 goal defeat will be a pleasant surprise.

 

I wonder how creative CAFC Official can be with the attendance ?

Can they edge it up to 10,000 via 5,000 free comps to the local school ?

Having a bit of a sabbatical from Charlton atm. Unless the takeover happens (), my first game will be in 2 months time. I can't really put into words how hacked off I am with the cynical manoevring of Murphy &co. I don't blame Dutton too much for his naivety, Murphy clearly recognised this when he chose Dutton as his mouthpiece. Good luck to BowJacko and every loyal fan who can still dredge up the energy to support them through the Belgian nightmare. I've had enough.
