Anyone seen what's going on down at Cardiff? They are now discussing the possibility of rebranding again and changing the name to Cardiff Dragons! Whilst the on field changes have been a big positive, would you want to compromise your clubs heritage in bid for success?

The man in charge, Tan, is a big child. He has threatened to walk away if it isn't met with positive reaction and some thought we had it bad! .

Whilst many will argue that it's his club now and his money has pretty much got them premier league football, what happens if/when the bubble bursts? Would the fans still be happy being red dragons whilst playing midtable championship football, or worse?

in ten years time, people will have forgotten the change. new bread of fans come through all the time. older ones pass away or do not get involved as much.

look at the red division. bunch of twatish 12 year olds, wanting it to be a rough place in terms of fierce support. in 10 (maybe 20) they'll be the old school supporters who want it kept as they know it and opposing whatever changes are happening then.

much like how most of us would like us to be kept as the family type club we grew up with.

Rugby League clubs have gone through this transition without huge trauma, as have limited overs cricket sides.

If I were a Cardiff fan, I think I'd find a name change a doddle to live with after a complete change of club colours - now that is traumatic.

We could pilot it with the women's team first - Valley Valkyries anyone? :emoticon-0100-smile

They could always relocate to Milton Keynes and become the MK Dragons.

If we called ourselves Charlton Wanderers would we be allowed to play all our games away?

Always a disaster. Look at Dial Square, St Domingo's, Singers, and Thames Ironworks. What did they ever achieve after a name change?

I think there's already a few teams called Dragons in south wales, in other sports. What is the point anyway?

On St George's Day will fans of English clubs be allowed to slay Cardiff fans?

Add Newton Heath to your list, eddie.

Without researching, were Newton Heath the original man united? Seem to remember that name from a blue and white away kit from them (though it could have been something similar).

It was the yellow and green abomination. Some fans wear yellow and green scarves as a protest against their current owners.
