Not sure how strong the Charlton side was but any win is a good win! At least one more game to come and thus a further opportunity for our fringe players - can't be bad.
Evening pdu Both teams put out weakened sides tonight, but as you say, we have ended our run of defeats, which was important prior to our away game at Blackpool next Saturday.
Suddenly, this competition is very important to PFC given the sad exit from the Cup, (how the fans would have loved a trip to Gateshead) and the inconsistent league form.

Pompey have been drawn at home to Northampton in the second round of the Checkatrade Trophy. Kenny Jackett's men will face the fellow League One side at Fratton Park in a tie that is scheduled to be played in the week commencing December 4. The Blues were always going to be rewarded with a home match after finishing top of Southern Group A. And they have been paired with a Cobblers outfit who pipped Southampton to the runners-up spot in Group H.
We were 3-0 up with ten to go as well! I was happy to be knocked out to be fair, hate what they've done to the competition so want us out at earliest possible stage. Bet you would have seen loads of hypocrites mind in terms of attending the match
I will not attend a game, even if Portsmouth reach Wembley. You can quote this post at a later date if you like.
