CHARLTON Athletic are weighing up a move for QPR midfielder Martin Rowlands.

The 32-year-old is surplus to requirements at Loftus Road, having made just four appearances last season.

Rowlands was shipped out on loan to Millwall, but failed to make a single start during his one-month spell at the Den.

However, League One Charlton are keen on the Irishman, who has a year remaining on his contract in west London.

I hope something gets sorted for Rowly. He deserves to play some football, and realistically he's not going to play for us again.

I'd wish him well if this comes off.

If Martin is fit he deserves to be playing for someone.Always liked him, just super unlucky with injuries.
Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

He'll do fantastically in League 1. If he wasnt injured for so long I think he could do a job in the Prem but sadly it hasnt worked out for him. Good luck Rowly, a QPR legend!

I can see him doing for Charlton what Gareth Ainsworth has done for Wycombe. Good buy for Charlton.

He would do well for them and it's difficlut seeing him playing for us again. I presume he's just not the same player after his injuries. Just goes to show the dangers of international football. And is he really Irish anyway?
