    Charlton U18...3 Millwall U18...

    Simples :)

Fine performance from the boys and a very fine player for the future in Ade Lookman, he plays as an attacking midfield/ left mid.

Thanks AllHell. As it was a big win against Millwall perhaps we will see a report on the OS before Wednesday.

I have noticed Lookman has been scoring and creating a lot of goals, without getting much attention on the OS. Maybe the club are trying not to attract too much attention to him. Perhaps you and I should "burn after reading" each other's posts?

Cheers, AHLL. Did you go? Lookmn's still a first-year scholar isn't he? Our last home-produced strikers who were top-notch were Paul Walsh and Rob Lee, and we've had a few false dawns since then, so although I've only seen him once and he was impressive then I won't make any predictions. Great scoreline, not a great day for Millwall yesterday, was it?

Yes mate I was there, the most bizarre thing was when the game kicked off Charlton had forgotten to put out the subs benches so these were tractored in after the game had started...... how can we forget to bring out the subs benches?

Nice to hear what's happening with the youngsters. Thanks for posting, AllHell

Hillbilly: We've always produced good young players, though not all were strikers. Paul Elliott came through at the same time as Paul Walsh. Lee Bowyer was a half decent player, though terminally stupid in the head. Paul Konch and Scotty Parker shouldn't forget where they started and Jonjo Shelvey's progress hasn't been too shabby.

Ade Lookman, eh..? I'll tuck that name away in a mental sock for the day we a) give him his break into league football and then b) sell him for far less than he's worth because we need the money.

And yes, it's always nice to beat the Hooligans, no matter what level it's at.

Is there anyone coming through who could be useful on the Right of Midfield...

Since that player moved to Chelsea we've only really had Lefties or Central Midfielders come through in that area

Right Billy - if you go in to your inbox, click the little boxes to the far right of the messages you wish to delete. A little tick will appear. Scroll down to the bottom and directly under your final message (again on the right) is a box that reads ''selected messages''. Click on it, and the first option says delete. Click that option and then proceed at the bottom.

Any problems then give me a shout.

They don't tend to do right wingers in the U18's, Azeez/Sho Silva used to play there in the last successful U18 team and Brandon Hanlan (yes he is still with us TC) played there on Saturday although Brandon is really a CF.

The lad who moved to Chelski was Casey Palmer and he was a 'box to box' Centre Mid <ok>

How's Archie Edwards progressing? He seemed to be a guy that the club were desperate to tie down once interest from the big clubs was known.

Saw him a couple of weeks ago. Still a classy player but he's shot up a few inches and is very lanky. If his parents keep their fridge well stocked up we'll see a star before too long. So he's still behind Holmes-Dennis, but they can both play LB and LM, so we could have a home-produced dream team down the left in a couple of years.
