Lovely start, and should send the pundits into exstacy. I have'nt heard any actual match discussion, so any chance of a report. Meanwhile, I've lost it completely!

    The reds are going up!

Was absolute awesome performance today - Standout player was Stephens for me was tidy and didnt try anything stupid, Defence made me a little nervous (i.e. Bournemouth got in behind a few times) but every time we managed to get bodies back and as for Elliot he really wanted to prove a point today it seemed.

Another 45 games like today and I'll be one happy bunny though am gonna keep a cool head and wait and see how we perform against the gritty teams like Oldham and Tranmere as thats the type of team we've always struggled against since being relegated from the Premiership - Beat those teams and the other contendors and anything can happen....

It was a joy to watch our performance..Dale Stephens (whom i`d said wasnt much kop at Woking) Awesome...it was the powell passing game .
And Elliott was top class too his handling ,kicking, command of the box was excellent.
Wiggins still looked abit out of it and got jeered by the Bournemouth fans at every touch but even he was unlucky not to score.
Great team spirit troughout te squad loved it.

Very happy with that performance, think Stephens was very tidy and the midfield as a whole. I quite liked the look of Wiggins and thought solly had a good game. Wagstaffs goal was great, as was Stephens. Great start!

it'll be a shame to break up the solly, wagstaff partnership when danny green isnt banned cos them two seem to work harder for each other.

wiggins was brilliant today. couldnt fault him. gotta remember this is our first competitive game together and what with 3 potentially stronger players to go in the first team, its looking good.

Hayes really impressed too, he has a nice touch and is able to spin away from his marker and do something positive with the ball. If onle he had scored with his chance at the far post, would have made it a perfect league debut for him.

Wagstaff is just the same as ever, contributes little to the game but then goes and scores a cracker. I hope he accepts the challenge of fighting for his first team place with Green, which he didn't have last season, because he does have a lot to offer. I imagine Green will play on Tuesday.

Elliott certainly sent a message to Hamer, the number 1 spot is by no means a gimme.

Hollands and Stephens ooze class, and Pritchard had a decent little cameo as well. He seems a good option from the bench as he can play all across the park.

Wiggins started nervously, understandably, but improved as the game wore on. Solly went to sleep a couple of times, leaving their left winger alone out wide, but otherwise stood up well to the pressure Bournemouth placed on him. Played a blinder for the first goal.

Overall a fantastic start, but I still feel there's more to come. That can only be a good thing.

Said a few weeks ago that Stephens would become my favorite player, and he justified it today. That pass for BWP in the first half was incredible.

Good performance- still think there is more to come. Didn't seem to get out of 2nd gear but beat a team who were in last years play offs 3-0.

    Once again, Stephens was awesome!

How did Harry Arter do? I'm thinking he played for a team last season who ended 7 places above Charlton. Any signs we were wrong to let him go on a free?

He's always looking for the ball and played some nice passes- but don't think he'd get in our squad.

In regards to Rhoys Wiggins I thought he looked excellent once he settled down, just feel that the Bournemouth fans where doing really well to unsettle him which our fans realised and got behind him, once that happened he was class

Harry Arter from what I remember against us for Bournemouth last season was someone who liked to go in for a challenge and leave their mark (not saying its a bad thing as it work to his advantage) and based on today's game it doesnt look like his style has changed much - very lucky to stay on the pitch.

Did anyone else notice Andy Hughes during both warm-ups, Chris Solly is one of my favourite players but I wouldnt mind seeing Hughes play sometime as today he looked like he'd drank about 20 cups of coffee before coming out (looked very eager)

Harry Arter probably wouldn't get in out current midfield, but definitely would have got in last year's!

Great performance, great result, great day out.

Stephens and Hollands are going to be brilliant for us in the middle. Great passing, tough tackling and always looking to make something happen. Plus they look like they can really have a pop at goal when a yard of space opens up!

Elliott was excellent today. I still fear that he will be leaving and was therefore looking to impress potential buyers. I would love for him to stay, but with the Hamer signing, I can't see it happening.

JJ was was probably the most anonymous player for us, but having said that, he is an influence, is experienced and hits a beautiful penalty. I am not downgrading his contribution, just saying that he is solid and dependable, rather than spectacular. I would rather we played two conventional wingers, but as long as we continue to win, then I will be happy.

All the new boys were great in my opinion and I am so happy for Waggy; he deserved his goal, an absolute peach, and knowing that his place is not guarenteed will bring the best out of him.

    Overall, I am well chuffed.

    COYR!

Is he related to Wally Foot, the legendary one-legged custodian from Neasden FC? I do not know but I think we should be told.

Arter was lucky to stay on the pitch the way he was carrying on first half.

Agree with most of the sentiments here... Stephens and Hollands stood out for me, absolutely class performance. Thought Hayes looked like a better Benson, Wiggins was very solid, didn't see much of him going forward though. The two centre-backs will be tested more in other games, but they shut out the Bournemouth lads well enough, except for L Taylor's sitter towards the end.

By the way, sit near the away end and no way was it a penalty for them in 2nd half... Elliott took the ball.

And we saw a screamer!! Go Waggy.

The BBC report has been changed now, eventually. Not their fault originally (whoever the guy was who supplies the scorer and time for TV was clearly an idiot, not listening to the announcement) but still poor that they left it up there for so long.
